For The Igbos To Cede 2023 Presidency To The Yorubas. by obiekunie01: 11:24am On Jul 17, 2021
The Igbos and Yorubas are always at a logger head on political issues. We seem never to agree.

Now 2023 is fast approaching and there is still serious divisions in the south especially if one look at the Yoruba supposed candidate which the Igbos don't accept at all.

After much thought on the 2023 presidency, it seems the south will lose again to the North if we don't shed our differences and present a united front.

For the South not to lose to the North, the only option is for the south to present candidates that will be accepted by the entire south and possibly North.

As an Igbo man, we are known for our peaceful approach to issues and based on that, I wish to table this suggestions and hope it finds root among the southerners and some North.

PRESIDENCY: For Ndi Igbo to support a Yoruba presidency come 2023, then they must present Rotimi Akeredolu to vie for the office of the President and Babagana Umar Zulum as his vice president.

SENATE PRESIDENT: The Senate President must be an Igbo man from the 5 eastern state and must be the person of Eyinnaya Abaribe . Also, the Speaker of the House of Representative must also be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states.

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF: The Chief of Army Staff must be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states - if there is none qualified for the post, an Igbo man from other ranks must be promoted to the position (Baba Bubu has shown us that everything is possible).

CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF: Can be from from the middle belt region but preferably a TIV man.

CHIEF OF AIRSTAFF: Can be from any State from the Middle belt but especially from Kaduna South - must be a Christian

CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF: Must be from South-South especially Akwa-Ibom or Rivers

NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER: Must be from any of Yoruba States especially Ondo

ARTONEY GENERAL: Must be an Igbo man from any of the 5 Igbo States.

CHIEF JUSTICE: Must be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states.

SECRETARY TO THE GOVT: Can be Yoruba man

MINISTRY OF INTERIOR, MINSTRY OF WORKS, MINISTRY OF FINANCE: MUST BE AN IGBO MAN FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES.

CUSTOMS: MUST BE HEADED BY AN IGBO MAN FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES.

FCT MINITER: Maybe an Igbo man or a Gbagi man for the first time.

INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE: Must be an Igbo man or woman from the 5 Igbo states.

IN ALL THE STATED POSITIONS, IF NO ONE FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES IS QUALIFIED, THEN ANY IGBO MAN CAN BE PROMOTED TO THE RANKS - REF: BUHARI 2015 - 2023.

With the above stated conditions fully agreed and accorded all legal backings by the two tribes, the Igbos will cede their 2023 presidential ambition and support the Yoruba - otherwise, then the reverse will be the case and the Yorubas will promise to support any one the Igbos present to view for the Presidency and the Yorubas will take the listed Igbo positions under an Igbo Presidency.

This is fair enough in my view. What do you think?

cool

Hmmmn

Akeredolu is a very good administrator but doesn't have the clout of Tinubu, Osinbajo and Fashola up North or down South

Zulum is loved down south because he is liberal and educated but he is a lightweight Kanuri politician up north , Sule Lamido, Ahmed Yerima, Ganduje. Kwankwaso, and El Rufai all have strong northern followers

WE WILL SUPPORT A YORUBA PRESIDENCY ONLY IF THEY PRESENT AKEREDOLU. HE IS A SEASONED LAWYER WHO WILL HELP STRAIGHTEN OUT THE CONSTITUTION TO RESPECT HUMAN RIGHTS.

HE IS A BRAVE MAN THAT IS NOT AFFRAID OF THE FULANIS AND CAN NEVER BE COWED BY THEM.

The only Yorubas angling for a Yoruba Nigerian presidency are Tinubu slaves.

I can assure you they are in the micro-mini minority.

The rest of us sensible Yorubas do gladly cede the presidency of Nigeria to the Igbos with all our hearts.

There's only ONE thing on the minds of Yorubas who aren't Omo ales..

Ibos are free to support anybody they like, it's not like 5% ever counted... You want a Christian President with Ibo first lady, hence your preference for Akeredolu and Zulum which isn't bad as you have a right to that

But the reality on ground is that parties nominate strong candidate not candidate Ibos think they want

As a matter of fact Ibos support is counter productive in Nigerian national politics

The moment I saw Eyinnaya Abaribe for Senate Presidency I knew a PDP/IPOB sympathizer wrote this. If you guys aren't selling Igbos for peanuts since 1999, you either find a way to spoil show for other qualified Igbo Presidential material.

Why must PDP and her band of South-East clowns keep selling Igbos short? Will heaven fall if an Igboman or woman becomes President of Nigeria?

If you agree that you have no formidable candidate in the south-east, then support Igbos from the south-south like Ameachi or Okonjo-Iweala for presidency. Obiekunie is high time you bury this moniker or grow sense as you are becoming a disgrace to your ethnic group.

The most important point you have made is that (Baba Bubu has shown us that everything is possible). This is a point any Southern President must remember while in office.

Besides, an Igbo could as well aspire to become President. That Tinubu or a Yoruba stands a better chance at becoming presidential candidate of APC, does not mean the elected President must be Yoruba.

Regardless of opinions made here, there are many Igbos I would still vote ahead of Tinubu, as long as those Igbos are not the typical politicians we have allover Nigeria. Tinubu, Akeredolu, Osinbajo et al, are typical Nigerian politicians whose accomplishments as President would only be to disappoint us nearly as much a Buhari has done.

I never thought another President could be as disappointing as Jonathan, but Buhari has erased my doubts. But now I also believe no President could be as hypocritical and delusional as Buhari to think he has actually performed as was expected from him.

An anticorruption President whose police are still daily collecting money from motorists and police bail that ought to be free?

An anticorruption President that has not stem the culture of selling of employment slots in government agencies and parastatals?

I am grossly disappointed, and I do not need my tribesman to be President. I need a Nigerian President to give me a working and corruption-free Nigeria I can be proud of bequeathing to my children.

When a Yoruba man becomes president and North gets Vice, all Security agencies will be headed by Yorubas including IGP of Police. Igbos can get Senate President post if they play their politics well.

Major reason Ibos have contested every single Presidential Election since independence and lost every single one despite been a majority ethnicity, call people slave even when you got conquered during civil war and was locked out of seat of power for over 50 years ... Disrespectful attitude towards others and pride...... Anyways the forum is owned by a Yoruba man so I won't keep of and will comment when I like and how I like it

Trying to sell to Ndigbo, what was sold to us in 1999.

Nigeria just has to break up, so that every ethnic group can make a break for it.

It is only when it gets to the turn of Igbos, that every Tom D!ck and Harry starts thinking of compromises that results in an Igbo not being the president.

IPOB clown looking for southern unity on the alter of sabotaging fairness. Any southern unity that doesn't push an Igbo person for Presidency is faulty. Alakurin Rotimi can get the Senate Presidency in a southern led government. The SW can get the bulk of the military and ministerial positions no problem so long an Igbo is supported for the highest position.

If anyone complains, it definitely shouldn't be the Fulani! What's good for the goose should be good for the gander! wink

You think if a southerner becomes president all key posts are gonna be filled with EITHER a yoruba man or an igbo man but it's NEVER happening. The idiot op was even saying igbos from either of the 5 eastern states grin
You never see power you Done dey claim everything. If you like don't vote a southerner, go vote for a Fulani again. No one cares. All the trash written in this thread isn't happening

OP stop wasting your time. Tinubu Ego is on the line concerning 2023 presidency. This won't be the first or the last election in Nigeria and sure some politicians will resign or turn to paper weight before or after 2023 mostly Southerners.
