The Igbos and Yorubas are always at a logger head on political issues. We seem never to agree.

Now 2023 is fast approaching and there is still serious divisions in the south especially if one look at the Yoruba supposed candidate which the Igbos don't accept at all.

After much thought on the 2023 presidency, it seems the south will lose again to the North if we don't shed our differences and present a united front.

For the South not to lose to the North, the only option is for the south to present candidates that will be accepted by the entire south and possibly North.

As an Igbo man, we are known for our peaceful approach to issues and based on that, I wish to table this suggestions and hope it finds root among the southerners and some North.

PRESIDENCY: For Ndi Igbo to support a Yoruba presidency come 2023, then they must present Rotimi Akeredolu to vie for the office of the President and Babagana Umar Zulum as his vice president.

SENATE PRESIDENT: The Senate President must be an Igbo man from the 5 eastern state and must be the person of Eyinnaya Abaribe . Also, the Speaker of the House of Representative must also be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states.

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF: The Chief of Army Staff must be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states - if there is none qualified for the post, an Igbo man from other ranks must be promoted to the position (Baba Bubu has shown us that everything is possible).

CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF: Can be from from the middle belt region but preferably a TIV man.

CHIEF OF AIRSTAFF: Can be from any State from the Middle belt but especially from Kaduna South - must be a Christian

CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF: Must be from South-South especially Akwa-Ibom or Rivers

NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER: Must be from any of Yoruba States especially Ondo

ARTONEY GENERAL: Must be an Igbo man from any of the 5 Igbo States.

CHIEF JUSTICE: Must be an Igbo man from the 5 Igbo states.

SECRETARY TO THE GOVT: Can be Yoruba man

MINISTRY OF INTERIOR, MINSTRY OF WORKS, MINISTRY OF FINANCE: MUST BE AN IGBO MAN FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES.

CUSTOMS: MUST BE HEADED BY AN IGBO MAN FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES.

FCT MINITER: Maybe an Igbo man or a Gbagi man for the first time.

INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE: Must be an Igbo man or woman from the 5 Igbo states.

IN ALL THE STATED POSITIONS, IF NO ONE FROM THE 5 IGBO STATES IS QUALIFIED, THEN ANY IGBO MAN CAN BE PROMOTED TO THE RANKS - REF: BUHARI 2015 - 2023.

With the above stated conditions fully agreed and accorded all legal backings by the two tribes, the Igbos will cede their 2023 presidential ambition and support the Yoruba - otherwise, then the reverse will be the case and the Yorubas will promise to support any one the Igbos present to view for the Presidency and the Yorubas will take the listed Igbo positions under an Igbo Presidency.

This is fair enough in my view. What do you think?

See as u dey share position, like groundnut.... Same greed that led your ancestors to the 1967 coup is exactly what you are displaying here...

That is Igboman for you. The whole thread is childish, emotion-laden and unrealistic as we now come to expect from sentimental Igbos.

Even the choice of Akeredolu is not because he will make a great President and administrative head of the executive arm. Many are far better than Akeredolu in that respect. In fact I personally don't rate Akeredolu at all as a problem solver or competent administrator.

OP, in typical and clannish Igbo fashion, wants a President who will fight, disenfranchise and punish the Fulanis. He believes that to be Akeredolu.

In fact the thread only validates why Igbos are political nonentities today. Their sole focus is fighting perceived enemies first while everything else , such as the good and progressive governance of Nigeria, takes a back seat. Rubbish thread. Childish beyond reason.

Where sensible Nigerians are looking for leaders with the skills, ability, vision and background of achievement to improve lives, and deliver societal progress, the Igbo man will vote or follow anyone he feels can help him deal with perceived enemies and oppressors.

Or he will vote a 'punisher who can help him marginalise and mistreat others he is determined to get even with.

Igbos hardly ever vote for good governance ahead of everything else. This is why this Igbo OP wants Akeredolu. I.e the belief Aketi will relegate the Fulanis and the North.

That is not what a Southern President is needed for but trust clannish, vengeful and feudal Igbos to be the only Southerners who won't get that.

The moment I saw Eyinnaya Abaribe for Senate Presidency I knew a PDP/IPOB sympathizer wrote this. If you guys aren't selling Igbos for peanuts since 1999, you either find a way to spoil show for other qualified Igbo Presidential material.

Why must PDP and her band of South-East clowns keep selling Igbos short? Will heaven fall if an Igboman or woman becomes President of Nigeria?

If you agree that you have no formidable candidate in the south-east, then support Igbos from the south-south like Ameachi or Okonjo-Iweala for presidency. Obiekunie is high time you bury this moniker or grow sense as you are becoming a disgrace to your ethnic group.

You are a yoruba with a dirty propaganda.
yorubas have taken their turn and if they are serious about Southern presidency, then they should drive it home to South East which has not taken it rightful turn..

If the yorubas cannot stomach a SE presidency, then the SE can also not support a yoruba presidency again after voting OBJ a yorubaman into power previously.
If the whole of the South cannot find a single Igbo (out of 60 million Igbo people, some of whom are even getting elected in Europe, US, Canada) to support as president as we did for OBJ a yorubaman and GEJ a SSner then the north can keep the presidency.

I have voted a yoruba president before, I have voted a SS president before, if they cannot also vote for me as an Igbo, then they should stop trying fool me into voting them again. An Igbo man is not anybody's beast of burden.

If it must come south, it is only FAIR that it berths in the SOUTH EAST. Any other thing is nothing but an avenue to insult the East after using our heads to break coconuts that we will not be allowed to eat. E no go happen.

It either comes SE or stays in the North, if nigeria will manage to survive till then.

SEE HOW THEY ARE ALL PROVOKING AND INSULTING ME!

AND THEY ARE ALL SOUTHERNERS OO!

AND YET NONE IS WILING TO ACCEPT NOR EVEN CRITICALLY STUDY THE OFFER!

This thread has totally proved the south can not and will never agree on anything. In fact, every position i put up there and more are all headed by fulanis in today's Nigeria and yet the whole south stomached it and kept quiet.

Now all i did in this topic was to juxtapose it with an igboman or woman and all hell just let loose despite offering the presidency to the yorubas.

You see 2023 is fast approaching and only the smart ones will notice that the north is not bothered one bit bc they know that the presidency will remain with them.

all they have to do is present a presidential candidate of yoruba origin under APC preferably tinubu, and present an igbo presidential candidate maybe under PDP. After that, they will now present a fulani candidate under an unknown party formed by an igbo man - this time, maybe rochas - cause they have already used a yoruba man's party in 2015.

The serious division in the south will automatically split the votes - and neither the yoruba candidate nor the igbo candidate will meet up the required vote count as each tribe will prefer to vote their own and some out of anger will decide to vote for the northern candidate in association with the numerous northers in the south who will vote for their brothers thru the southern ballots will give the northern candidate the required 20% vote from the southern region - while none of the two southern candidates will ever get any vote from the north that can meet up the required 20% from that region - the north will make sure that no southerner casts any opposing vote from the north - trust them on that - after all that's the main reason for having almajiris.

AS USUAL THE NORTH WILL VOTE EN MASS FOR THEIR CANDIDATE AND COUNT ON THE DIVISION IN THE SOUTH TO PROCURE 20% VOTE FROM THE SOUTHERN REGION TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY.

COME 2023, THE PRESIDENCY WILL LEGALLY AND DEMOCRATICALLY REMAIN IN THE NORTH. MARK THIS TODAY!

AFTER UNA GO SAY FULANI NO SMART AND YET THEY ARE BUSY FUCKING YOU SOUTHERNERS BACK TO BACK SINCE 1960!
