Please I have a new company and I need the services of a professional financial expert to guide me on what books I need to keep and what products to focus on. I manufacture electronics and power supply systems. I also do home automation devices locally. I need a business expert to discuss with for a professional fee on what to do, what to look out for, how to maximize profit and what books to keep.

I downloaded a software called QuickBooks but I don't understand it. Its not my field. I rather pay a professional now

Send a mail to me fryvik67@gmail.com and let's see what we can do, don't need your money anyway.

Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a business practice in which an organization contracts with an external service provider to perform an essential business task.

Typically, an organization first identifies a process that is necessary for its operations yet is not part of its core value proposition in the market; this step requires a good understanding of the processes within the organization and strong business process management.

I have rendered some outsourcing services to some firms in Lagos and I can tell you companies are looking more at decentralising their operations to reduce OPEX and ensure more efficiency

Call centre operations/customer service
Procurement
Digital marketing
IT/Web Development
Etc.

are examples of departments that are outsourced to BPO service providers and this provides a huge market for BPO

Getting to work for a BPO firm can provide you all the knowledge you need to be an all-rounder on some operations.

Working remotely for a BPO firm comes with its challenges such as different time zones (for overseas firms), need to learn some new languages, use of digital tools and others.

We have only few BPO firms around and 90% are focused either on call center operations or IT.

Send a mail for more information if needs be.

I'd advise you to retain the QuickBooks installation you have. Get an experienced person to sync it in line with your business needs.

I have been deploying ERP/CRM/AccountingSolutions for about 20years now.

Hit me up. (Zero, Eight, Zero, Three, Seven, Nine, Seven, One, One, Three, Nine) I will help you maximize your installation.

Keep a track record of all receivables (from customers/clients) and payables (to vendors/suppliers). Cashbook can be used to efficiently achieve this on a micro level; a general ledger for macro operations.

You’ll need to maintain a statement of financial position (SOFP) which will capture your business assets, equity, and liabilities (such as loans, VAT, and Corporation Tax).

You also need to structure your financial records in a way to reduce tax liability (tax avoidance) as this will come handy to cushion high operating and administrative costs incurred overtime.

Quickbooks is okay but a cloud based integrated accounting software is more effective depending on your operation scale.

Good morning. I will soon be undergoing a digital training on Business Process Outsourcing, I want to know if there is anyone familiar with this field here on Nairaland.

What are your challenges? Can you work remotely for foreign companies? How lucrative or saturated is the business?
And any other thing as I am a complete newbie in this. Thanks.

D question is are u going to be d one doing d outsourcing or are u d one who is going to be outsourced to?

If u are outsourced to, is it this ur training that will enable u deliver results to ur clients? So if u want to get a job from a client, u will tell them u did a course in outsourcing. How is that a solution?

That's under a lean concept. Outsourcing to cut costs.

I use an oyibo for this. It is very lucrative. Your work is to map out the systems for the business to operate and get and onboard staff to take over each task. Then you put it all together so there is a smooth flow of operation. It used to be called Operations management but now get plenty names.

As long as you don’t let your reputation get damaged you can do very well with it. Just make sure you deliver or communicate clearly if there is an issue.

Also yes you can work remotely the man I’m working with we started before covid and we have never met irl

Yes! Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is when a company moves or outsources part of its business processes to another company locally or offshore, so they can focus on their core business(es). A typical example is in the outsourced call centre business. American companies like Google, IBM and Ford hire caller centre companies in India and Kenya to manage their customer service arm of the business and to make/send/receive calls/emails on their behalf.

Here at iOSignal, we help BPO firms in Africa to set up affordable, reliable and easily scalable call centres.

This is great, so he has his own firm or works under someone else? I mean does he map out all these alone or work with a team.

Hi,

Kindly send a dm. I was involved in the project when my company was moving jobs to India. We still make use of their services in India, but now through Tata as 3rd party. As someone rightly noted, Tata is very big in this business. Most of the India IT experts (Infosys et al) in Naija are also through Tata. Nigeria should actually have looked into this opportunity long ago, considering that we have a huge pool of young graduates. It's a big source of forex inflow and knowledge transfer for India.
