Dude I know what obiano is doing he wants to commission it before he leaves, we must do what is right so it won't become another Nigerian project and I hate hearing the word cargo airport, we need some great as igbos, something massive because anambra is the heart of igbo land, I just want us to get it right and I don't celebrate nonsense, we have seen airports in other parts of the world

Let him finish and commission. Ideal Government is a continuum. Subsequent governments can improve on what is on ground. The most important thing is that the airport has landed.
Subsequent governors can build 10 hanging or floating terminal buildings or jangulovers if they like(watch the land mass)
The most important thing is that the essential facilities for an airport to function has been put on ground. Cikena.

The airport doesn't have to be complete before landscaping and exterior design can begin, please.

It's not good-looking to the eye. No offence. And there's not much progress since the last update was made.

You don't have to open a new thread to give weekly updates when one staircase is tiled or when the toilet fittings have been installed. Stick to one thread and keep dropping updates there so people can track the progress.

Kudos to Obiano. Now tree planting and landscaping must begin on the airport grounds and the highway leading to the airport to give it a sense of arrival.

Something worth doing is worth doing well.

The fact is that when they don't want you to progress, they will be very bitter at any slight sign of progress. They want you not to have what they have, so as to always claim superiority. So no point joining issues with anyone. The airport is the worst in the country, but still WE MOVE!!!

Meanwhile, the airport below dey for London. Same place wey Heathrow dey. Person never die. Na Anambra own wan make some people drink sniper. I laugh in latin bukiakia!!

This is wonderful. Governor Obiano is a trailblazer. Anambra now has its own glittering airport while Ogun and Abia states still use airports in other states, shame.
Ogun doesn't need a passenger airport
The ones in Lagos and Ibadan are enough

We need roads instead
Re: Anambra International Cargo and passenger Airport Almost Ready(photos) by Systrom(m): 7:06pm On Jul 21, 2021
It needs to be beautified, landscaped, removal of clay and red sand.

The aesthetic needs to be top notch

Interior and exterior designs need to be above par with Beautiful Trees, greenery etc

It has to look like a standard international airport

Also, stop creating new threads posting unnecessary updates and wait till the airport is completed

Honestly, I underrated this airport before now. Right now, cat has got my tongue because what am seeing here is amazingly beautiful. And to think that the project was started just yesterday really baffles me because this is Nigeria where projects of this magnitude take almost eternity to be completed.

... Good project. Great vision. Excellent Ndigbo once again.

My main concern is all about the maintenance culture aspect of this lofty project.

I'm a Yoruba man from Lagos, and I can see that this man called Obiano is doing excellently well.

He must be commended for this wonderful project.

Infact, anambra people are just too much, the likes of Charles Soludo, Innoson motors, Coscharis motors, Obi Cubana, and so many great Igbos from that side.

Congratulations to Anambra people in advance over this initiative of your governor

There is nothing classy about Anambra international airport. It seems most of you on this site are local peasants that haven't gone beyond the shores of Africa.

All airports in Nigeria are mediocre. Stop beating about the bush.

What a dumb fellow! Defending the mediocrity of various government officials in Nigeria.

During NYSC, one Hausa guy was saying they have more land than SE everybody was supporting until I said, waste land, Till today we never hear from them. Your pain is the greenery. That's how it's supposed to be, advanced countries are recreating nature inside their airport terminal you're talking. They will plant more grass, it will rain more and your long throat will touch ground. Ahdi

Anambra international airport is worldclass. Hit your head at any nearest wall around. If you like cry from now till tomorrow, it won't change anything.

3minssex:

Not surprised. The words "world-class" and "ultra-modern" have been bastardised by Nigerian politicians and their pr managers.tw, I'm from Delta state. While I don't deny the fact that it's backward just like all other Nigerian states, you should know that it's richer and has more clout than Anambra. It has two airportsArguing with you isn't worth it. If folks like you are the ones being referred to when they say "youths are the leaders of tomorrow" then, I'm afraid the future of Nigeria is bleak.

Anambra international airport has the longest runway in Nigeria cheesy

As you're criticizing we want to be seeing the airport in your state. The terminal(interior and exterior), run way, tower, Emergency Units(fire, trauma, power,) access roads. Source of funds for the airport (state or FG)
And apron. Thank you
