With REITs, NT-Bills, Money Mutual funds and fixed income funds, you will pay your rent and own your own house.

Really??! That would be nice for middle class earners, cos it can't be easy.

Well, I would rather work and live in Kano, Jos, Ibadan, etc, than run that rat race in Eko. lipsrsealed

Yes it true. A 3 bedroom apartment in some areas in suburbs of Ogun goes for 180-200k with modern living facilities, water heater, tiled and interlocking flooring but the roada are extremely bad.
3bedroom at ibafo , executive flat , 300k, full package 400k
20m from Lagos Ibadan expressway.

Lagos is an overhyped shithole! Very congested, highly polluted, filty and over populated. Full with inadequated people, criminals and thugs.

I would rather live in the village than pay to live in shithole Lagos. I stayed with my friend in his flat some where in AKUTE and i like it although the roads leading to Akute are bad and it was very far from MMI Aiport.
It's not far to airport

Maybe you should create a thread about this... I will personally research this to share with my boys in that city, cos those guys are not having life easy at all.

Don't be a tenant all your life, become a landlord today in a secured estate at Lagos, ogun, etc.
We have flexible payment plans to enable you own a plot of land .

Go to Investment section, specifically the treasury bill thread. People on the thread are using REITs to pay rent.

I swear!
If its Ojodu, just envelope 500-650 per year for 2bedroom
If you are just collecting the house, agency agreement, caution - 800k - 1M
I am still "shook" cos i want to move houses
Just don't understand the increases, even inside Opic, least is 600k
Like i will work for the year and use the whole money to pay landlord just to sleep and wake up. Lagosians which way now

Yup around N500 to N800 in Ojodu. Even that N500 will only get an old building, a very very old building, most likely without a parking space or somewhere in Bemil (for pesin wey fit live close to mortuary) grin

2 bedroom in Festac is about 500k to 700k and satellite town is 450k to 550k.

Where are you guys getting this rubbish

Bro, do you have any apartment plug? I'm in search of an apartment and the prices looks reasonable.
Re: Updated Cost Of Renting A 2 Bedroom Apartment In Lagos by chukzyfcbb: 7:46pm On Jul 21, 2021
All of these numbers is not cut on stone.

It's always down to a lot of factors.
Is it a new or old house

Landlord factor too.
Landlords who don't have any source of income tend to raise rents higher than labdlords who are actively working and we'll to do.

Lastly
Are you an old or new tenant.

You would be suprised to hear in the same area a new tenant is paying 1m for, an old Tennant there is paying 500-600k.

Nothing is cut on stone when renting in this Lagos, you just gotta hunt hunt hunt

Okay, you may be correct, i only said that it is far because the cab driver charged me 5000 naira from the Airport and another 5000 to take me back to the Airport few days after. That is 10k total, he said because his Camry has an aircondition, grin grin he charged me for aircon? for a 45-60 minute drive from the airport and 45-60 minute back to the airport.

His car was comfortable that was one good thing.

You be agent abi? If you're one, my advice to you is to always state facts so your clients understand what they're getting. You can't claim you have an apartment in Berger only to take your clients to Lambe. Berger isn't even big, so when you say it depends on the area in Berger, it gets me confused.

I'm not going to doubt the N350k 3 bedroom apartment in Ajuwon because I'm sure your "Ajuwon" is probably somewhere in Matogun or one those shantytowns with extremely dilapidated roads.

I believe in the nearest future there would be a technology to rent and live on the air since the land is becoming unaffordable for the humans that supposedly owns it.

Is very much advisable that people should leave Lagos if they know that they can't afford Lagos; the cost and stress of Lagos is meaningless.

Abeg remove Oyo from there. Oyo with no meaningful companies is now becoming expensive.

To get standard 2 bed room flat, yhu need to cough out about 600k. Some places are even more expensive.

Areas like Agodi Gate, Jericho, Akubo etc.

Agents are now everywhere in Ibadan, almost everybody is an agent there....very lazy lots.

Very silly agents and unreasonable Landlords.
Learnt is the cheapest place to live in Nigeria
Also, learnt 90% of the house their have no toilet
