thanks. The debits reset my braiin to a point of no reasoning
to always be safe, always make use of prepaid card or virtual cards provided by bank like Gomoney, barter, etc.. Whenever you are paying for subscriptions of any type... Never you use a card linked to ur primary bank account

There are so many ways you can authenticate your account on another device without having your phone with you. And you need to set this up on your original Google account security settings page. Once it's set up you can authenticate by email, by having a code sent to your phone number, by having codes sent to any phone or tablet you have your account set up on etc etc. There are other different ways you can do this even without having your phone on you.
thats exactly what i was facing until i did a welcome back recently. It crontributed to me not seeing the alert on time to act.

Go to your bank and cancel that card. I always advise customers/people not to store details of their cards on websites or apps. You can make payments as one off, but never save the details there because if these sites or apps are hacked, your account is exposed
It's not just about saving card details on the platform. Some of those sites has auto renewal (which most times we click on "I agree" without even reading the terms)
Once that is done, fastest option is to block the card straight up and request for a new one.

He does not need to go to the bank to disable to card. Just call customer care of your bank and instruct the customer care officer to disable the card. He/she will do it instantly after asking your series of questions to confirm you are the owner of the account.

It has happened to me twice with UBA and once with Access bank. The onevof UBA was even on a Sunday and it was immediately disabled.

To disable a card is different from CANCELLING a card. To cancel a card, you must be present in the bank

it all started when i personally suscribed to numero, text me, adobe photoshop, tinder, vpn360, emily dates and many other paid app.

Your subscription on one of these Apps must have been on Auto-renew mode, hence why they’re charging you..

Find the one which is it and then change it from Auto-renew to manual renewal. I suspect Tinder..

Emilydates is wack, wonder why you put up a profile there..

Which one is better cos I need where to find real human being for a date not scammers

Disable, Cancel, the result is the same. The card cannot be used to make any transaction. If you disable a card, you will have to go physically to enable it. And I would not recommend re-enabling a card that has been compromised. If your card has been compromised, you might not have enough time to go to your bank before your account is wiped out.

coolUr method go work so? Omo na big issue with google oh, say ur old phone is NEVER removed from their portal and u cant use their playstore without the phone wey dem steal on top the gmail u take register.
It will work bro, I've tried it. In as much as you can successfully login with your Gmail, you'll have full control of your subscriptions.
Re: Illegal Debiting! Help by Ooe33: 10:23am On Jul 23, 2021
. U don't need the stolen phone to stop the alerts.
As u just need to hotlist the said card and run another one.
Plus u can't access ur google account on ur new device. Just make sure u unsubscribe before putting ur new card details.

go to your google account online, payment method, edit, you will see all the subscriptions you have registered for. you can simply cancel the services or go to your bank and block the card(s) used in those subscriptions.

He only asked for solution not for u to castigate him or are u EFCC? Be a solution bro, no one asked you what he does for a living. The bottom line is that his money is being deducted and he needs help.

Disable and cancel are not the sane thing sir. They might have a similar feature, however they are not absolutely the same. Take it from someone who is knowledgeable in this area

What is illegal about the debiting? Learn to use words correctly!

Log into your account and cancel the subscriptions.

the illegal thing about it is they have hike the suscription price without me consenting to their new pricing policy. They usually notify someone afforehand to agree to the new terms or hault the suscription. The initial amount i was charged for all was 15k. So Mr. Man, how is this not illegal?

Login your Gmail account with your new phone and go to playstore, Unsubscribe all those apps or better still visit your bank to deactivate your card, you can request for a new card afterwards.
Have you done the test?
