Local government elections in Nigeria is a waste of precious time and resources. When (if) INEC is reformed, they should be mandated to take over state elections with maybe observation by a state body.

The party in power always declares all seats won by them. I remember when el rufai was forming free and fair and electronic in LG elections, as PDP start to win, them quickly revert.

Ebutemetta west Lagos State poll stations are deserted when I went to vote an hour ago the box is almost empty not up to 50 people that have casted their vote. I did not meet anyone that wants to vote is vote and go no crowd thank GOD it's peaceful here ❤ I guess people that want to lose their life that's why low turnout like what happened at the primaries people lost their lives!

votes don't count.If they want us to believe that vote will count they should implement the full transmission of results and start it with the Lagos state election without any clause.

Only hardcore party members vote during Local government elections to fill quota else party leaders will ask why their candidates have 1000 votes in a ward with 5000+ registered members and you know what that means for the affected ward party members.

We still have a long way to go. Until electronic transmission of results is fully implemented/approved without caveat, same shenanigans will persist.
