Setting up two nuclear plants in Nigeria for power generation regardless of its redundancy is a No No for me, in the case of accident due to loss of process containment the fatality is enormous and it takes so many years to recover the impacted areas.

Please we have other source of energy (renewables) that are even cost effective when compared to nuclear plant which we can use for power generation that are not catastrophic in nature just in case there's an equipment failure...other countries are decommissioning their power plants while Nigeria is planning of commissioning.

Therefore, please it's pertinent we put the safety of our communities and environment first, so far this nuclear power plants can be substituted with gas plants, hydro plants, Solar and wind energies.

I can see you're one of those backward clowns that are hell-bent on keeping Nigeria in darkness by relying on NEPA and hydro-electricity

Anytime this country embarks on something remotely ambitious and positive, it is always met with heavy criticism and disdain.

Most 1st world nations utilize nuclear energy and have very little plans to stop doing so. If we are to ever improve this economy and provide optimal electricity for massively growing population then nuclear is the way

No need to worry, Nigeria hasn't got the science chops to build an oil refinery so they cannotbuild a nuclear plant in the foreseeable future. It's all talk

Let the construction of the powerplant begin... Hopefully the ruskies would supply the VVER 1100 model. This is a right step in the right direction for a nation that needs to be the industrial hub of Africa.

Let the renewable guys work towards supplying solar systems to homes of rural dwellers
