Good evening bosses,
It has been my prayer and a blessing coming across this thread and since then I haven't been able to let a day pass without studying hungrily...I study and practice 16hours some days having little or no sleep all to succeed cus I'm so curious and i can't sleep while my problems still remains with me, least 4hours, I even stayed up the whole night on one of my lead inother not to miss an interested end-user reply but unfortunately since my first sale on May 19 I haven't been able to make any sale despite all this... though I'm still learning and evolving but not seeing a positive result of all this makes a man downhearted....

Just don't know what is wrong, maybe lack of grace or knowledge,or I'm missing out on something..I wish I knew what it is...
Right now I'm filled up and just can't shut up and keep to my self, keep praying and repeating the same circle over.. that's why I opened up.

I'll be listing my domains and
Will be glad to receive critics, scolding,advice,help, corrections, suggestions, mocking, encouragement and direction as long as I don't repeat the circle of no reward, as long as I can survive, even if a little....

Good Morning versatilevee, my own 1cent is this... Though I dunno much but with the above domain name u listed, I'll advice u stick with GeoDomains for now so u can be able to raise funds to further venture into brandables... I don't like any of d names u listed, even the misspelling ones(I know they are intentional), u re still starting and I see no need venturing in that direction for now........... Lastly, d Geo's u have are too long.

Start small first.. at least 3 word Geo's maximum and avoid long services.

I leave d rest to the bosses and those ahead of me in this game to throw in their opinions

No, that's not what I mean. What I'm saying is that it's when a domain is sold and paid for that you can conclude it is good. In other words, any domain name can sell. The essence of learning and mastering domaining is to increase the chances of getting better domain names that will sell faster.

I know this is a BB favourite and will be priced higher there. But typical me would set this at a significant higher price on SH.

This may sell fast, slow, or not at all, but one of the keys to sales is to manage our expectations when it comes to pricing.

Though there may be exceptions, but any savy business man will go for a quick turnover any day above a future/uncertain mega profit.

You just need to refine your mode of buying domains, avoid inverse domains, buy more and have patience, Some of us have domains renewed for years, yours are just, months?

I'll suggest moving your landing pages to afternic though, they seem to convert well for me. Leads aren't sure at DAN. So many non paying buyers.

And if you're really impatient, try out some of your names at sav, dynadot auction marketplaces at varying lower prices & see how many you will regret not keeping. I still look at my sav sales dashboard & smh.

if not that you quoted me I wouldn't have replied this post, because many see me as the GOD GRACE guy, but its the truth without GRACE nothing happens.


But all I can say is, please Pray to what ever you hold sacred , invest quality time into the business and thirdly read wide about Domains.

Another thing you should note is majority of the the sales are also a product of hardwork and quality time plus large portfolios.

I see someone on twitter very intellect about domaining, but currently he is trying to liquidate some of his account. Except there is an urgent needs for that, I don't encourage that, because leads and sales are not something that comes everyday.

Just keep learning and developing yourself, as per your portfolios I have nothing to say about it, because I don't commend and I don't condemn.

I mean, I must confess. Some sales I had made was out of the ordinary.

Remember the lock down time, I needed sales. Just after praying and believing. The next 2days I made a $699 sale.

Whether or not the palliative.. I didn't care grin grin grin

But work and reading is not negotiable and I don't think we speak down on that.

Boss McCain, could you explain the REAL distinction between GEO's and EMD's? Can a geo also be an emd? Do domainers outbound EMD's like Geos too?Thanks.

I was banned while responding to this post. IdeasPro has answered this, just to add. You need to outbound your EMD else they will gather dust in the marketplace, the exception is if the name has lots of traffic.

Another thing to look out for in EMD is to check if your name is a good upgrade for the potential enduser. Refer to the image

Thanks for replying. I wanted to hear your perspective on this, however, sir IdeasPro did well too. So, that means there's an intersection between Geos and Emds as both can be services or products domains.

With your experience McCain, how would you build afresh a portfolio of 1000 names? Which % would be brandables (cos I know this is your main area), which % would be EMDS (services and products), and which % would be GEOS (taking into account the necessity of outbound for sales)? And any other category of domains, you have interest in?

Sorry if my questions sound like an interview, I just want to understand how the pros 'see'...

1. What is your goal and objective

2. Find out what works for you

3. A begineer has no business with 1000 names. You will better understand this when renewal time comes.

I started out with GEO after taking Iykes course, this didnt work out for me, i didnt find outbound easy due to non sales and my job schedule.

getting the emails and sending them one after the other was no joke.


so I switched to Brandables, I am employed so I can afford to wait for a sale. Now having seen how "easy" it is to sell brandables in the wholesale market esp for BB names. This is where i am going to concentrate my efforts on. SH owned names submission will still continue. If an enduser sale comes, great if not i wait, if i am pressed to raised funds, I sell off on the wholesale market. I sold 4BB names for 450 on the wholesale market. That experience is another days topic, with my knowledge now, those names will be sold for 1k.

As for EMD, this is also for quick cash for(look for names that are upgrades for existing domains and pitch to them) but I am also faced with the same outbound issue. I recently had to let go of so many EMD, now i have a stricter criteria for them.

I left domaining for 4-5months if not more, I learnt alot about this wholesale market and i still have lots of things to learn. you have to keep learning. Yogi solanki book is gathering dust, i am revisiting it and i just got Alex Verdea book.

Finally, I cant tell you how to spread your portfolio, you have to figure that out for your self. what works for you, what you have strength and affinity for.

one thing you should watch out for in EMD, dont go for names you think will be good for the enduser, go for names that are good for the enduser. When you go for names that has only one enduser, know that it is 50-50 so try to go for EMD that has more enduser pool

A year without a sale? May be you need to talk to the bosses in this business. I started early this month and I've not record any sale. And frustration don dey set in small small but I believe.

I think this is why the sales report dropped.
