My experience with my little nephew.pls pardon any typographical gbangaun.


Two weeks ago I bundled my two hyper active kids a boy named chisom and a girl(ewomazino) aged 6yrs and 4 yrs respectively to go spend the hols with my mum at Abraka.a small community housing Delta State University abraka one of the best University in the world.

As soon as we alighted from the bike,my little nephew ran towards us,greeted me,then hugged his cousins and shouted**mehn see packaging,see as una be like white witch,una foreign die...omo una too legit shuoooo!

I looked at him somehow,he took our luggages from us,then ushered us in...he started gisting with my kids.

Minutes later my mum breezed looking as if she has bn chased from where she went to...with her hair looking as if she has just escaped from being electrocuted.it may interest you to know that,my mum kan like to visit people a trait that I really dislike.

I hugged her...we exchanged pleasantries and gossiped a little ..I was in the bathroom showering when she informed me saying**abeg I get one mata wey I want go run.

Off she breezed out again ..in my mind I said,does this woman ever rest?
Moments later I went to get provisions and some Staples so as to stock up the house since I don't like being a burden to people and moreover my kids loves food,my boy of 4yrs has the appetite of an Australian lion.

He's not a glutton,boy he doesn't joke with food,his mumu button is food and he's on the chubby side.

So after several hours my mum came back again all sweaty...I just shook my head.we settled into the night as we arrived almost late.

The next day bn Monday,I freshed up then bid my kids bye...my mum insisted that I still Roger her something.i could remember when I arrived I gave her some money before I went out to get those provisions.

I pressed her small thing,then knelt down to please with her not to joke with my kids feeding routine.i know my mum too well.

My nephew (ogaga)was looking like a malnourished mane when I saw him and I was really pleased.qhen I asked my mum why ogaga was looking like that ..she said and I quote***if he too dey wack(eat)he no go get sense e go be like say him brain wear boxers.

Anyways I just pleaded with her,bid my kids bye then left for the motor park....reasons why I left,cox I needed to back back and hustle for more funds to send to my mum to cater for my kids(my nephew included.

I arrived asaba safely..funny enough my fare was catered for by a good samaritan.when I arrived home I was badly Drenched by the rain and I met our sitting room flooded with the sitting room rug badly Drenched.

I changed my clothes,fixed the mess then strolled to the kitchen to have a bite...oh fortunately for me,I met the remnants of rice and beans porridge cooked by my husband....I guess he must have really hoped to feast on it when he gets home,since he wasn't expecting us till about 3weeks time

I gave myself a nice treat with a chilled can of nutri yoghurt...few hours later I heard the sound of someone fiddling with the gate padlock.


So he entered into the compound,with his car parked outside I could hear him cooing***Daddy oyoyo**the best Daddy oyoyo.how he knew someone was in the house still baffles me till date.

He came thru the kitchen axis...and stood for some brief seconds staring at the door mat when he didn't hear the kids welcoming him.

As a rugged warri woman...I was peeping at him Tru the knob hole.i unbolted the door locks,he came in then asked after the kids I replied him...boy wasn't still pleased.

I was like ..ABI he dey reason say I don auction his kids ni!mind you we're not on talking terms.

Boy I thought taking my kids to my mum was the best decision,but my life turned out to be very uninteresting.infact life was very boring children are really an integral part of every parents life.

After hustling for few days...I went back again to my mum's place,in the night of my arrival I had to take my mum and kids out to shalaye in a kentrol level.
That night my momma quickly kidnapped my daughters phone...saying she's too little to have a phone,that it would make her not to be brilliant in school...that woman eeh,she is a full package.

The next day ..we prepared to leave back for asaba when my nephew said he wants to follow us back to asaba.

Mehn drama started from the park cox ogaga really gave every body some drops of comedy.when we got to a town called ossissa our bus was halted down by some policemen wear dirty facemasks with disgusting potruding bellies.

Whilst the driver was discussing with the driver whom he probably demanded some rogering from and the driver isn't ready to part away with money ..ogaga brought his head out...looked at the police man and said.....ose mi'gwo sir...I dey hail o,I said make I hail you make e for no loss.

Boy was I scared?I just had to caution him,he laughed and said....mama zino abeg relax na we-we.

We arrived safely at asaba,boarded a tricycle and arrived home...another round of drama ensued.

My husband just got weak......

Ogaga greeted him in pigin linqua...he responded and led them inside the house.
Ogaga settled in immediately as warri no dhey carry last.he was even telling chisom not to chance him or they die here.

He has been with us a week today,mehn is not an easy sontin.its an experience worth experiencing.
But boy came with extra 6 stomachs as he can consume food like a leaking cylinder.

Ever since I noticed his huge appetite...as thief no fit dagbo thief,what I do firstly is to give the three of them lots of water to drink first before feeding them.

He hates putting on pants,he says big boiz don't do pants,but boxers.he has this habit of stowing away dresses he has wore.

Some couple of days ago he was discussing with his cousins and he asked chisom what he would become when he grew up.chisom replied in pidgin linqua and I quote**ogaga see eeh'just forget when I go up eeh,I want be electrical(electrician)I go dey travel around the world dey go fix big big things wey don spoil,and i go still become doctor so make I dey chook
my mum injections for her smallie bumbum anytime wey she sick.

They all looked at me and laughed.meanwhile, immediately chisom said **Injection**my 8yrs old nephew quickly countered him say***chisom na Egel-shion Dem dey call the matta,no be wetin you call ham naa.

Loquacios zino was asked to say hers...she said she would want to become a pilot.they clapped for her then they all asked ogaga what he would become when he's grown.

Sha I still dey reason ham Sha...when i reason ham finish I go Yan you pipu,but I go like to catch bad people wen I grow up and fling them inside prison.

Chisom interrupted and said...ogaga na police you go be naaa....ogaga said"shuoooo me,a whole gagus go come be police**God no go let me be policeman cox them way no pure and Dem too dey suffer.

This morning chisom woke up,greeted his dad then came to the kitchen to greet me,as I had already prepared pap since I wud be leaving the house early to return back by 9am.

Ogaga woke up greeted me and sat close to me few minutes later he and chisom engaged in a very meaningless conversation.

Ogaga....chisom you know say fowl no be chicken?but chicken na fowl!

Chisom... looking very confused and trying to make a point reiterated...
No ogaga chicken na fowl naa+slightly sounding irritated)

Ogaga still obviously wants to proof a point pushed his luck further saying...
Chisom see,why I say fowl no be chicken be say,if them fry ham na chicken,but if them no fry ham na fowl.

Fowl naim be the one wey dey Waka yangayanga(free movement)for Ekoro.
Ekoro is a street slangs roads/streets/hidden places.
But Chicken na the one wey dey for cage.chisom you don understand na abi.?

Their father had to tell both of them to shut their loose that chicken is fowl and fowl is chicken.
Left to me...I'd leave them to argue till them tire.

Chisom...asked his dad,daddy if chicken is fowl and fowl is chicken,then what is egg.

When I took them to the mall on Saturday pls don't even go there... chisom and zino are regulars there,but it was ogaga's first time experience.

Omo! See levels,then he exclamated kweke!jesu!looking arounding as if he just landed in another country.

We went to pick some few personal items for myself,I showed him around explaining some things to him.

We had to settle inside one of the fast food joint,bought snacks and yorghurt,sat down to enjoy our loot....from his facial expressions I knew he was having a blast and relishing every moment.


We later came home and placed a call to my mum,my mum could sense his excitement.

However why did you clear off the begining part of the diary? It is so so interesting.


I just left asaba like 2019 so it was fun and nostalgic to read familiar places as you write.
Though I don't really like Bean cakes, I would have loved to come buy some whenever I visit asaba or refer my friends there.

I returned home yesterday day morning to see my kids forming activities.ziino was busy washing cleaned socks outside thereby wasting the baby n me soap bar.

Chisom was busy running round the compound idling away with the short mop brush.

King ogaga just finished mopping the entire house,and boy...it was better he had left the house the way it was,than doing what he did.

Because in my tired state,I had to chased them away and fixed the mess they did
Chisom whose duty is to always clear the dishes after every meal and to sweep the kitchen said his brain told him to mop the already mopped kitchen.

Yesterday morning chisom spoilt the new table that was bought last week,he spoilt one of the chest of drawers compartment.

Their father didn't returned last night coman see torrent of tears.i had to bathe and fed them dinner then forced them to sleep cox I also needed lots of rest cox of the drugs I took.

3:41a.m,the dad just drove in now coming back from a very long distant journey several states from ours....I had to forced myself out of bed to let him in.
