Positive. Nigerians needs transit visas transiting through Europe. My mum was not allowed to board a flight from uk to Milan cos she didn’t have a transit visa.

He needs a schengen visa or an Italian national visa because he is changing planes and taking a domestic flight from Milan to the UK. A transit visa won’t work.

Nope, even if changing within the same airport as long as you are passing through immigration then a schengen visa is needed and most times when you have to take a domestic or regional flight that’s most likely what Ryanair is then the boarding gates are after immigration.

Let me explain. The visa, IHS and priority fees paid are considered 'foreign' transactions. You will notice the visa fee was 501USD but you were probably charged 511 USD or so. Its the exact fee you'd pay if your card was used if you were in the UK.

Any amount actually. If it's more than 10,000 dollars you have to declare it in Nigeria with immigration. You may be prone to extortion with those guys too. If it's more than 10,000 pounds, you declare it at the port of entry in the UK, also.

If you travelling with cash, ensure you keep it safe.

I've been reading this thread religiously everyday for the past couple of months and the information has been invaluable. But I noticed most people submit priority whereas I had filled my form for Standard submission. I haven't seen too many Standard Visa Submission Alerts so I wanted to give some encouragement to other cheapitos like me who didn't pay for Priority Visas and are wondering if they made the wrong gamble and if there's enough time.

I hope the Ethiopian airline isn't stopping by in Addis Ababa? if yes, he should cancel that flight and book tickets with airlines that are on the amber list if it's the cost you are looking to save.

Either ways I'll still advise canceling because he might need a transit visa to pass through Milan to the uk.

If you are flying through an EU country to the UK, you will need a transit visa, aftermath of brexit.
