6 Months Forex Challenge by samfelly: 12:17pm On Aug 29, 2021
Let me first of all tag those whose steps I am following;

Netvaluefx - https://www.nairaland.com/6479984/12-months-forex-challenge

Zamanda - https://www.nairaland.com/6703747/3-months-forex-challenge

Although, Netvaluefx was the first person that I saw who did it in his challenge and I mentioned to him I will do something like dis with $24 to $1,000.

samfelly:
Congratulations, bro. I will follow in this footsteps. My own na $24 to $1,000 grin

Thank you for telling us anything is possible
But, unfortunately, I blew that $24, in less than 2 weeks.

Recently, when I saw Zamanda's $50 to $5,000 challenge (though not yet started, just his post), who, ironically, drew his inspiration from Netvaluefx's recent challenge, also. I decided dis is a good one too. So, instead of my former $24 to $1,000 spoken goal to Netvaluefx, I will be using $50, thus the amount deposited today (pictures attached).

Trading starts on the 1st of September, 2021.

Please, kindly follow the story in my fxblue account (see signature).

Good luck to you. Impossible is nothing,! Considering your account size, avoid Gold or crypto. Especially BTC. Pick the very best trades as there are limited room for errors.
Finally, ask yourself why you blew the 24usd. Actually, it was more than 24usd because you grew that account. All things being equal. Your dreams are obtainable it doesn't matter how many times you fail, failing is actually part of what makes a good trader.

Bro, the motivation you give persons, alone, is just enough and right. Thank you.

I plan to use the bolded as the underlying secret to succeed in this challenge, already. I am grateful you dished them

NetValueFX:
grin grin grin.
Your own don pass my own.
Finally impossible is nothing. All you need is to ensure you take the best trades at the earliest stage because there wouldn't be much room for errors.
Once you get to 100usd, na highway things. Secondly considering the account size, you will need tight stop loss. I wish you good luck.

What time frame do you trade and what is the average number over signals it generates per week?
Re: 6 Months Forex Challenge by fashionnisir(f): 12:12pm On Aug 30, 2021
I will suggest your stick and enter with 1htf, avold bring distracted by the other time frame, there are the noise, you can check early candlestick formation in the lower time.

Hmmm, with my driving job (taxi), e go hard small.

Well, I guess I will just not go to work any day I mean to trade, so dat I can trail profit, as u suggest.

Pls, kindly break down what you think my weekly or monthly target should be - pip-wise - to meet dis challenge. Cos, the good Lord knows I can get carried away and not mind over-trading

If I may suggest, let that $50 be. Create a demo of at least $200. Use it to practice for 3months non stop. Believe me there is always money to be made when you get back from your practice. I said $200 because that's an amount I would say is quite fair considering one would need room for drawdown. $50usd can't offer you enough room for reasonable draw down.
Secondly, as a full time transport worker, you need to trade minimum of H4 and you cant do that safely with 50usd. Trust me, you don't need anything interfering with your main source of income. You need steady flow of cash to stay afloat psychologically.

Convert your strategy to H4 and practice it lets see the result.

Wow, I am happy you mentioned me. And, I am more than happy you beat me to it (by starting the $50 to $5,000 challenge, first).

In this Forex business, I have come to believe that it is a personal journey. Anyone can be anything in the business as long as he feels the need to. That is all that matters.

I wish you all the very best, bro.

I will soon start mine, whenever I feel the need to, also

That is too short, you will get alot of fakery candlesticks and limited pips it just an interveral of 0.5 from each price action. What EMA do you use?

I love this effort bro.

This is very possible.

By the way, Gold can also be traded, just use tight stop losses and keep the lot size manageable at 0.01. If need be, review as your equity increases.

Good luck all the way.

@samfelly,

I wish you best of luck. (i) I will advise that you take this challenge as fun and not to solve immediate need. (ii) Once you have attained a sustainable profit, withdraw the initial capital to reduce the pressure on you, (iii) Try make sure that your trading system on PC is same for mobile MT4 (this will mean no customized indicator) considering the type of job you are doing now.

If you should ask me, I will suggest to change the challenge to one year. All the best!
