Looks like the whole project - Lagos- Ibadan still has a long way to go

Was at the ebutte Meta end 2 weeks ago and the workers doubt it will be completed this year... heavy work going on though

There is no way that it can be completed earlier than December 2021.

Breaks my heart!! Was really rooting for Amaechi and co. I mean it's only less than 200km. Even if they could get it working from Agege to Ibadan miss out on some minor stations until it's fully functional to the ports

Thought i will be able to ride to ibadan on this visit but the test run currently going on doesnt make much sense time wise.

Got on the Abuja-Kaduna and Kaduna-Abuja trains off my bucket list this time around.

Well it hasn't been abandoned, delayed/slow yes.
By now they should have been on the Ibadan to Abuja and Kano-Kaduna

Now there's Corona virus excuse to throw into the mix

It's an embarrassment and insult to Nigerians that the project still remain at this stage

I'm not surprised tho because if the minister handling it can't complete mono rail project in his state as governor then what do we expect from him handling this type of project?

To be sincere it’s a huge project of immense proportions.

If I was running this project I would:

1) send an advance expedition to clear the forests ahead

2) start laying tracks

3) build stations to completion one after the other. For example do all the Lagos ones first to completion and have them running

They’re still making progress working but the deliverable could never be met as set up. The carcass for the Ibadan station has been this way for 6 months. I suspect that they shifted manpower downstream. The Ibadan station should never even have been started ahead of completion of the Lagos stations.

Lagos alone will bring traffic intra state.

It's huge quite alright but considering they did the Abuja Kano rail, one would have thought they got the Nigerian terrain figured out. Apart from lagos the rest should be smooth sailing.

The carcass of the hotel at ebutte Meta is complete...here scratching my head why are they more interested in the hotel than the main station- some politician already positioning

The Omi station as at yesterday.

Glad they made this one a simple design.

Their architecture is usually very brutish or perhaps just the one for Nigeria- low maintenance and fit for purpose. The stairs leading to the platforms can induce labour!!

incredible how these governors dont plan thing to fall in place at the right time, almost as if they were not aware of the pending conclusion of the project.
I've been watching several videos of Moniya, seems the road is only recently getting the upgrade it needed .
