Bros I am a first hand user of both devices. My s9 screen just stop working before I switched to this device. Apart from the display and small camera difference, the oneplue6 beat the s9 in other department I swear.

Baba screens stop on different devices anytime. Ask anybody. It's not an automatic reason to assume it's inferior to OnePlus.

Same OnePlus 6 go lag for CoDM as e dey go like this. For battle royale, it will start glitching when you aim down sights on any target of 10 ft and less, so what are we saying?

You like OnePlus, like it and don't compare. Enjoy your device without putting others down.

Shey I tell you say Na the same Snapdragon 845

Me no believe sha. Bring the phone make we load the game on top and test. Seeing is believing.

Every device slightly heats up when you game. Every single one.

That's why some gaming phones have coolers now

Baba, read well. I didn't say the Samsung is inferior because of the screen got bad. I got a Oneplus because I couldn't spend money changing the screen.

I still insist apart from the Samsung s9 better display and camera. The oneplus 6 over powers it in other positions. I am a first hand user of both.

COD runs flawlessly on the oneplus 6

Should I mention that there's an android 11 update for a 3.5 year old oneplus6?

Samsung S9 got the android 11 update too bro. That one no too join as point. The s9 does not lag, one UI is awesome on it, and it handles apps smoothly.

So where this "overpowering" happens na where I dey try know. Cos e dey easy to watch reviews on YouTube and conclude one is better. For everyday tasks, all these phones are the bloody same.

And yes, for that CoD we fit meet make I show you that glitch. A lot of androids have it except the ones with 120htz refresh rate.

Try upgrade to any 120htz if you haven't make you see wetin I dey talk.

Performance on the oneplus 6 and s9 is about thesame due to same soc, except the exynos version. Oneplus may be slightly snappier due to its close to vanilla android os unlike the bloated sometimes laggy UI on Samsung. But it all boils down to user experience and preference.

Awesome take on this!

That lag is where I still disagree. I want to know where one UI lags. Opening apps? Loading apps? Where exactly?

Make una educate us abeg. Cos if you see lag on Infinix and Tecno then you'll understand this is lag. How it happens on One UI is what Im dying to know.

I havent played with a Samsung since after S1 & Note 4 which my wife used for almost 4yrs. But from what i hear the lags and frame drops are noticeable when scrolling through apps, and animations in the UI. All these are minute, ignorable complaints that can be overlooked whenever they occur but when you pay a premium to own a premium device insignificant issues become big issues and tend to annoy.

With phones like Techno & Infinix, you get what you pay for. Lagging, frame drops and hanging are their 3 stooges. tongue

Lol I get you, however even iOS stutters from time to time. No system is flawless. The OnePlus I use, sometimes the navigation gestures become stuck and don't work until you lock and unlock the phone.

All of them get their own issues.

Again, S9 doesn't have that. I used the s9 plus for 1 year before upgrading to s10plus.

i think the oneplus nord 2 has some really interesting and quirky specs, plus the cameras are great and even the dimensity 1200 processor is powerful. i like it, overall.
Re: Oneplus Thread by Komu1048(m): 10:19pm On Aug 31, 2021
Used one plus 3 back then. The problem is accessibility of their parts. The phone is super fast for charging n browsing. Very sleek, I love that brand but just felt not meant for Nigeria market

These phones you mentioned (S1 & note 4) use Sammy's old ui.. touch wiz which lags to some extent.
One ui is what Sammy's uses now with extremely reduced lags & bloatwares.

OnePlus 7 Pro here.
Best media and gaming device cos of the screen real estate.

Two years old, two major android updates and dozens of security updates, and phone is still buttery smooth like the day I unboxed it. Phone is still in mint condition, not a single scratch yet. I'm going to use the phone for a long time.

It's still the best looking OnePlus phone ever made imo.

Good morning guys. Please I hope it's permitted to advertise here, if there's a separate thread for it please let me know so I move this comment there. I have a OnePlus 7 pro 5g version, 8gb 256gb nebula blue phone locked to sprint network for sale. Please note that I haven't been able to unlock the phone since it arrived and I want to sell as is.

Phone is completely mint condition with any scratch, scuff or screen burn. I placed it in a case and applied UV screen guard as soon as it arrived. Removed the screen guard now because I have to take pictures of the screen for intending buyers. Please let me know if you're interested and your offer.

Call/chat me on 08161926496

Thanks

Nice to see that many people have caught the OnePlus bug in Nigeria. I've owned OnePlus phones since 2014 and never looked back.
