It's like this, you use someone profile to get benefit, the state send the money/check to the 'drop' (another address different from the fake profile you use) you put in, the drop (who is your picker) send the money to you through various means. So, they trace the picker (who does it for so many people apart from you) and that put you on the rather.

Here in Nigeria, the intelligence section of Police and EFCC knows how money moves in and out and they pick the one that interest them or that never settled them as the case may be.
