I had to listen very hard to understand some of the things they were saying….unlike Opobo people…Opobo speak same Igbo you’d hear and understand if you were in Enugu, Anambra and Imo.

I find it hard understanding the words in this video but I wouldn’t guess correctly the location of an Opobo speaker if no one told me. Opobo speak unadulterated Igbo.

I don't think there is anything they said which I didn't understand almost all of them n Even the Journalist ..

If u are from Asa/Aba,Umuahia or Mbaise u will understand those language wella

Esp. From Aba because all Igbo languages are spoke in Aba ..

You don't need to go to Umuahia, IMO Anambra,Enugu or even Akwaibom b4 u learn their language all is in Aba

I understood what they were saying sha. They were talking about the sustainability of Ikwerre language especially among the new generation and how to get a proper Ikwerre language mutually intelligible to all Ikwerre people.

Ikwerre is just like any other Igbo dialect sha. It's just how the reporter refer Igbo as Isoma that makes me laugh.

These people don't see themselves as Igbos. I think Igbos should let them be. Igbos are so big. It's insignificant whether Ikwerre are part of them or not.

Developers have no shame they are the only majority tribe that gossip about minorities.....
