I am trying to finish my application online. My yk visa fee is $520 and I have tried to use my gtb and zenith naira master cards without success (insufficient funds or bank declined transaction)

Can someone advise on alternative payment method that works? Maybe a bank you are sure of or how I can go about it.

Thanks in anticipation

You can not use Naira card for international payment there’s a limit of 100dollars . You need a foreign card to make the payment. Contact anyone you know with a foreign card €$£ that can help you or if you have a Nigerian dollar card

giselle237:

It is not that simple.
Also graduation is not a tie. After all you are done with final exams and would be awarded your degree. It can be added but surely it is not a tie. U need to explore what your ties are to Nigeria.
Also u cnt be gone for 3 months on actual visa application form- say that and get your chances for denial be at 90%. Reduce trip duration drastically. Factor in 10 days for quarantine + a few days for the travel.
U dnt need travel insurance for travel to uk
Pls how do u make your money in this your business?
U cnt use the business account to apply as your business funds are for your business. U should have personal savings or earnings by which you would use to sponsor your trip.

Lastly, it is not enough pls get reason for travel. Any visa application tht will be approved has to have a reason for travel that can be communicated effectively via your docs to the visa officer.

Thank you @giselle237 I wasn’t planning to inform them I intended to stay for that long though. I just wanted to explain my situation better here so I’d be able to get the right help.

I’m aware the graduation aspect is not foolproof as a tie to come back, that’s why I mentioned it. I don’t really know what else I could use.

Since I can’t use my business funds, would it work better if I get my friend-who is writing an invite letter to also be my sponsor. Because from what you say, explaining the funds as a student would be difficult, since I don’t have an actual job, aside the business I own.

The money from the business is set up in my personal account, because I haven’t yet set up the business bank account. And I buy and sell skin care products. I have receipts that show purchase materials and invoices that show sold ones. That’s what I have

Please why do you say so, and how else do you advice i present my suitation?

Secondly, i don't intend telling them that i am only attending the baby's Christening, i am only just putting out my suitation here.

I have also attended her graduation in UK but that was in 2008, apart from that i also schooled in US and have US visitors visa twice. I have also been to Canada too, plus i have 2kids (5 and 3 years) that won't be going with me.

So with all these travel history and tie to Nigerian do u still think i still don't stand a chance?

Your reason for the trip and your inability to finance the trip.

The cost of this trip is not coming from you and attending your sister's child christening is not a strong reason to spend such amount of money.

Hello,

Pls i need help. I work in a school with 107k as salary which i use all every month, asin my account goes down to 0.00 every month (even before the month ends) but my hubby wants to sponsor me with about 1.5M, and he intend transferring this money into my account. My question is now what bank statements am i to show? Do i need to also submit hubby's statement with mine even though he has transferred the money into my account or do i submit only his payslips and my bank statement. Pls what documents do i need to submit in other to show/suggest he is my sponsor?

Good Evening.
I will not say your visa would not be approved but anything can go wrong and your chances are not that great based on the information you have provided. As it is having a zero amount disposable income and depending solely on your husband as an adult puts you under the section of a flight risk but depending on who’s desk your application goes to being that you have enough money from your husband you will still be granted visa.

Arguably 107k is not a whole lot but it is decent and there are teachers who earn 90k after tax in Abuja and still able to put away up to 20k as savings. For life emergencies and fear of the unknown you should have your own money.(No matter how small the amount is,is better than not having at all).

Consider adjusting your lifestyle to live within your means so you are able to show some savings no matter how small and therefore be more credible.

I advice you apply in February 2022 against Easter holiday in April when school is out for two weeks land add the following documents;

1. Consent letter/letter of sponsorship from your husband.Stating he is aware you are travelling for so and so date,he is sponsoring with so and so amount which was sent you on so and so date.(You need not include his statement).

2.Marriage certificate and 2/3 wedding photos.

3.Your salary account statement for Oct/Nov/Dec 2021 and January 2022 showing a disposable income of at least 10% i.e 10k.

4.Letter of introduction from your place of work identifying you, stating when you were employed, your position, remuneration and you are of good character and they can be contacted for any other information.(signed and on head paper).ID card if you have one.

5.AOP.

Good evening my family. My uncle and his wife is being invited by the son to the UK. Their visa appointment is on Thursday. The problem now is they can’t log into the applications again to print out their checklists and appointment confirmation because the email can’t be accessed again.

The password did not match again and no recovery email too. He is thinking of using the paid email service to contact Ukvi if a unique link can be sent to another email. The paid email will contain their GWF numbers and visa payment reference number. PLEASE Gurus in the house come to our aid. It’s really really urgent. God bless.

Thanks guys , I know nobody has been in my shoes hence the no responses but for the sake of anyone who may be in my shoes in my future I’ll drop this—— so I found my answer after searching and searching rigorously. I can’t change VAC unless I cancel application, so I canceled the application and will reapply. I didn’t know this VAC people chop winch like this. Refund will be within 28 days, I don’t mind.

Thank you.

You can not use Naira card for international payment there’s a limit of 100dollars . You need a foreign card to make the payment. Contact anyone you know with a foreign card €$£ that can help you or if you have a Nigerian dollar card

Good evening,
My husband recently applied for the UK visa and got rejected.
The documents he submitted were his company CAC certificate and his personal bank statement where he saves money.

Please what do we do moving forward if he’s to re-apply.

21K pounds in savings is a good deal of money.
Put simply, they want to know if this is really his earned money.
The specific request for TCC doesn't mean your husband should go and pay 30k naira for self-assessment to LIRS and include that with his next application - (if you're a 15 million naira kind of guy, your tax liability will be commensurate), they want more evidence to show that your husband is a man who can afford to have 15 million naira lying around in a savings account.

Hello guys, please i need advise from experienced persons here, my international passport will be expiring by Nov 2022. I want to submit applications to schools for Sept 2022. Is it advisable I submit this soon to expire passport or do I have to renew it first before applying to schools? I just want to be on the safer side. will be awaiting your kind responses. Thanks

You can renew your passport officially 6 months before it expires, in your case in March 2022.
Your visa journey will start way after that if you're going for September 2022 admission, so renew your passport next year and use the new one.
Try not to come to the UK with a soon-to-expire Nigerian passport, the Nigerian HC here is appalling in terms of passport renewal.

These are not good advice to OP.

As long as she is married, have kids that are not traveling and yu have travelled extensively you will be issued the Visa. Dont bother so much about finances. It is only a big issue for people who do not have a reliable travel history.

Whatever u decide but u must understand if u have nothing tieing u to Nigeria amongst other things no visa will be given.
If ur friend will now sponsor u, what is the reason for ur friend deciding to sponsor u... note tht this question is also on the visa form
