Nacho is a guy easily satisfied, he seem not self driven neither ambitious enough to break into bigger limelight
He feels Vardy is about finished in Leicester maybe 1 or 2 yrs but he fails to realize that Daka was bought to replace Vardy so Nacho remains a 2nd hand striker who waits until the main striker is injured or Brenda decides to change tactics
I dare say Daka will get more play time in the next 1 or 2 yrs if Nacho stays
Brenda has shown that his most lethal tactic does not include Nacho while Nacho believes all the rubbish Brenda pumps into his head

Dude should seek loan move to where he will fit into the coaches' tactics instead of warming the bench with Brenda cuz age is not on his side
A player does not get better playing from the bench except he's close to retiring.

Roma score 91st minute winner. Mourinho does that famous Porto celebration where he runs onto the pitch.

Sassuola equalise 2-2, ruled out for offside.

Jose wins his 1000th game and top the Serie A table.

Whoever hates Mourinho hates football. Legend.

Didn't watch the game, but Onyekuru seem to have had an average 45 minutes.

Created the biggest chance of the game though. Should he have shoot?

I've noticed that Japan is quietly building up a formidable side. They have emerging players all over Serie A, Spain, EPL and Bundesliga. A side to watch out for in Qatar.

Nigerian players who shone across Europe this weekend: September 10-11 (Friday & Saturday)

1. Terem Moffi (CF-ST) Goal + Assist + "Monster" MOTM showing (Lorient FC): Played 90+2 mins before being subbed out

Lorient FC 2-1 Lille FC (Ligue 1)

*Super Dominant MOTM display against a highly rated defence led by the Super Experienced Portuguese Defensive Stalwart, Jose Fonte. Not even the much hyped Sven Botman could stop him.
Held off an entire backline (4 defenders) to still bag an assist. That is outrageous. Clocked a top speed of 36.26km/hr in the game as well (The fastest on the pitch). Moffi have got raw power, strength, pace, technique and press-resistant qualities. A real beast on the rise. The Naija Lukaku indeed.

*2 chances created, 76% passing accuracy, 1 shot on target, 1 shot off target, 1 shot blocked, 3/8 ground duels won, 5/6 accurate long balls, 100% accurate crosses (1/1), 1/2 successful dribbles, 1 clearance, was fouled twice.

*2 goals, 2 assists in 5 league games (5 starts)

*1 game (Zero Start) for NT in 21/22

2. Victor Osimhen (CF-ST) Solid all-around Forward performance (Napoli): Played 90mins+ before being subbed out

Napoli 2-1 Juventus (Serie A)

*World Class Workrate. Powerful presence. A real handful against Serie A's most experienced defence.
A Monstrous all-round Performance from Victor against the Euros 2020-winning CB pair of Bonucci and Chiellini. A top barrelling performance from the lad. Just missed the goals but a very strong showing.
Was always gonna be "WAR" agaihst "Bonuellini" but he held his own impressively giving Napoli a good powerful outlet in the final third.
Never stopped running and pressing until he was subbed off. Had a few moments of fine interchanges with Adam Ounas (who came off the bench to good effect, doing better than Politano did all game despite his game). Turned defence into attack with his wicked pace in the final mins after winning the ball in his own half off a Juve cornerkick, just before being subbed out on 90mins for a slight knock/pull before the 5 mins added time count. The Juve CBs had their eyes on just Victor and this made them lose track of a few of Victor's teammates who could also do damage. The 2nd goal from Koulibaly comes to mind. So many good moments to cite. Victor's a true leader and mega fighter upfront and now Napoli sit top of Serie A.

*1 chance created, 1 shot on target, 1 shot off target, 2 shots blocked, 100% accurate long balls (1/1), 100% dribbling success (2/2), 69% passing accuracy, 3/6 ground duels won, 2/4 aerial duels won, 1 tackle, 1 clearance, 3 fouls committed.

*2 league games (2 starts)

*1 Goal in 2 games for NT (2 starts) in 21/22

3. Kelechi Iheanacho (FW) Solid Cameo Showing (Leicester): Played 17mins+Added time off the bench

Leicester City 0-1 Manchester City (EPL)

*Came off the bench and really looked dangerous and creative. How Rodgers keep benching his most in-form Forward and not seeking to find a way to fit him in from the start lends further proof to the school of thought that Rodgers just don't rate this guy no matter what he does. It's a no-brainer that if any of the other attackers (aside Newboy Daka) had Nacho's numbers last season, Rodgers will find a way to fit them into the first XI. Anyway, Nacho's good form continues and we would likely see him face off from the start this time against Osimhen's Napoli. As things stand though, Ospina and Osimhen are in doubt for that tie due to Covid protocols. Osimhen Played in CV - a UK redlist zone - on Tuesday and although he has been cleared in Italy, he would have to be cleared by UK authorities. Same applies to Ospina.

*1 big chance created, 1 chance created, 1 shot off target, 100% dribbling success (1/1), 60% passing accuracy, 100% ground duels won (1/1), 1/2 aerial duels won.

*4 league games (Zero starts)

*1 Goal in 5 games (Zero starts) in all Competitions

*2 goals in 1 game (1 start) for NT in 21/22

4. Wilfred Ndidi (CDM) Top Class Midfield Performance (Leicester): Played 90mins+

Leicester City 0-1 Manchester City (EPL)

*Super composed on the ball. Showed massive calm, strength in duels and control in the middle of the pack. A huge improvement on and a solid contrast to the Ndidi we saw against West Ham where he was quite dominated by Michail Antonio a few times and giving away possession uncharacteristically. Ndidi pulled off a Truly Special Class performance in the middle game against the Reigning English Champs and was just unlucky to be on the losing side.

*87% passing accuracy, 12 recoveries, 100% ground duels won (5/5), 100% dribbling success (2/2), 1/2 aerial duels won, 3 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 clearances, 1 blocked shot (defensive), 1 shot blocked (offensive).

*1 cleansheet, 4 league games (4 starts)

*2 cleansheets, 5 games (5 starts) in all competitions

*1 game (1 start) for NT in 21/22

5. David Okereke (FW) Wonder Solo Goal - Eventual Match Winner (Venezia FC): Played 23mins + 7 added mins off the bench

Empoli 1-2 Venezia (Serie A)

*1 shot on target, 1 shot blocked, 2 recoveries, 20% passing accuracy, 100% dribbling success (1/1), 1/2 ground duels won, 1/2 aerial duels won, 1/3 accurate long balls, 1 clearance

*1 Goal in 2 league games (1 start)

6. Tom Dele-Bashiru (CM) Assist + Top Midfield Performance (Reading): Played 90mins+

Reading FC 3-3 QPR (EFL/Skybet English Championship)

*2 chances created, 84% passing accuracy, 2/3 accurate long balls, 4/5 successful dribbles, 5/8 ground duels won, 100% aerial duels won (1/1), 2 clearances, 3 interceptions, 1 blocked shot, was fouled once.

*1 assist in 4 league games (3 starts)

7. Taiwo Awoniyi (CF) Decent Forward performance (FC.Union Berlin): Played 86mins

FC.Union Berlin 0-0 FC Augsburg (Bundesliga)

*1 shot on target, 1 shot off target, 1 shot blocked, 2/4 successful dribbles, 5/7 ground duels won, 63% passing accuracy, was fouled 3 times.

*3 goals in 4 league games (4 starts)

*5 goals + 2 assists in 7 games (7 starts) in all competitions.

8. Raphael Onyedika Nwadike (CDM) Solid Midfield Performance (FC Midtjylland): Played 90mins+

FC Midtjylland 2-0 FC Nordsjaelland (Danish Super Ligaen)

*2 chances created, 90% passing accuracy, 100% accurate long balls (1/1), 4/8 ground duels won, 2 tackles, 1 tackle, 3 fouls committed, was fouled twice.

*5 cleansheets in 8 league games (7 starts)

*1 Goal in 4 UCL Qualifying games (3 starts)

*1 Goal in 4 league games (4 starts)

10. Victor Moses (RM/RWB) Solid Wingback Performance (Spartak Moscow): Played 90mins+

*5 league games (4 starts)

Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0 Krylya Sovetov Samara (Russian Premier Liga)

*67% passing accuracy, 1 tackle, 1 clearance, 1 recovery, was fouled twice, 1 foul committed.

*1 league game (Zero start)

12. Joe Aribo (CM) Decent Midfield Performance (Rangers): Played 90mins+

Carpentry Performance, you say?

Look again....

▶️ Moffi taking the Lille Defence to the cleaners. Lille are the Reigning Ligue 1 Champions. That was a League-winning-defence Moffi messed up like he was messing up pieces of paper. grin

▶️David Okereke produced the goal of the weekend. A Wonder Goal. A beautiful solo effort worthy of views upon views.

▶️Ejuke Masterclass in Russia. Take time to watch the lad's latest display and tell me if you see any hint of Carpentry. grin

▶️Oghenekaro Etebo's 100% passing accuracy (32 passes) in an EPL game. Plus 100% long balls accuracy (4/4).

▶️Onuachu still bagging in Belgium....

You should have known that my report was coming. Always inevitable. wink

Kelechi Iheanacho's Minutes per G+A contributions in 2021 alone compared to some of the best in the game today

This is who Rodgers keeps benching and cannot fathom a way to place in his first XI, into a system that suits both the team and the player in order to maximise both the form of the player and the tactical adaptability of the team.

Rodgers well done sir!

La Liga outfit Granada have terminated the contract of midfielder Ramon Azeez after he refused to go on another loan spell away from the club.

Granada official Patricia Rodriguez announced the contract termination, saying Azeez, 28, refused several options offered him.

Last season, the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles captain played on loan at Segunda Division club FC Cartagena, where he made 16 appearances and helped them to avoid relegation.

Azeez joined Granada in January 2019 after shining at Lugo.

However, he failed to establish himself at the club.

He made a total of 46 appearances and scored two goals.
