I'm a chronic addict of alcohol and cigarettes. I use them heavily and that has caused me a lot of health issues. I'm struggling but couldn't quit.

I smoke and drink at the detriment of my health which has seen me access the hospital on many occasions than normal.

I've applied all techs thru people's testimony of how they quitted but none worked with me.


I swear every night that I've quitted but on first light the next day the craving increases.

I'm battling multiple health issues and I need help.

Please, anyone with a way out help please. If I don't quit now, I'd kiss mother Earth sooner.

Oga, don't dish out wrong advice, if you can't help the young man, just don't add to his problems. Smokers are actually liable to die young, the fact that your brother is a selected few doesn't mean the quote is not valid. Alcohol can cause hepatocellular cancer, smoking is a carcinogen for virtually all forms of cancers. Infact, in medical school, when asked aetiology of any cancer and terminal illness and you don't know the cause, just say alcohol and smoking. As for the op, see a doctor, a consultant preferably, there are some drugs that could help with the cravings.

As for smoking I was able to use weed to stop cigarettes then later stop weed too but that alcohol hen na God go help person. Do everything you can abeg as life is worth living.

Visit a doctor.

Replace the old habit with a new healthy one. Always go for the new habit whenever the urge for the old comes.

Since I was born I have people drink and smoke around me and I have access to this things but the smell of alcohol sef irritates me

It's true that some people smoke and drink and seem relatively healthy till old age but we should not test fate as we don't know if we are amongst those with such grace.

Everything in life should be in moderation to avoid damage to one's body.

I know a baba that has been smoking marijuana since the 60s and he's still hale and hearty. He recently stopped due to his age, baba is more than 80 and his children insisted that he must stop but 2 of his children followed his way, baba doesn't smoke cigarettes, he smoke jumbo green weed.
