British colonial government of Nigeria financed and built by the colonial government of Nigeria, It became the nation's busiest port for exporting agricultural produce from the provinces of Western and Northern Nigeria in the late 1920.

Yet you claim it was built by the Yorubas. I hail you.

You must be Joking

The money the British used to build Appa Port came from Lagos

Yes !!!! Lagos was already Boooooommmmmmiiiinnnggggggg even in 1923 !!!!

I started by stating facts. I don't when. I don't throw tantrums when have valid points.

Like I told one your brothers, Effiel Tower was built 1807, Statue of Liberty 1776, Pearl Harbour built in 1887 and lastly Third Mainland Bridge built 1991 etc

Point to three things that was built then, or are they imaginary infrastructures?

Abuja can claim same, how much was the IGR of Abuja till FG invested heavily on infrastructures as Capital of Nigeria.

Next time use your dictionary, I don't understand the meaning of obsession in your sentence, thanks.
You are a joke. How do you know my brothers on a faceless forum

There are sea ports in South South but FG is subjugating them for that of Lagos to strive. If the issue of state collecting VAT scale through, Lagos State will feel the heat. It is a fish hook for them. It will lead to total revamping of the ports in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta and even oil companies being directed to take their headquarters to the Niger Delta region. True federalism will kill Lagos State to an extent but Lagos is not seeing it from that angle.

By the way, I'm from Delta, Nigeria. We have the third best IGR, and most times, highest FAAC allocation

Stop lying

There are Currently 53 Vessels in Onne Port with 15 being expected today.

The lagos airport was built in the 40s during WW2 and the seaport was built in the 20s. There was nothing like Federal government of Nigeria in those periods .

Awolowo's AG built Ilupeju and Ikeja industrial estates .
The colonial government and nature made Lagos what it is today .

All these information are online bro. You just need to research and read wide not listening to radio Biafra .

You're truly funny.

How did the money come from Lagos?. Read history the British were into Rubber Plantations, taxing the entire Nigeria, before discovering crude oil.
Read about the first riot in Nigeria, it's called Aba Women Riot", they were tasking everyone.

YOU INGRATES SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO IGBOS. YORUBAS DON'T WANT NIGERIA TO BREAK UP BECAUSE YOU ARE FEEDING OFF FROM IGBO SWEAT. FROM HOUSES, TO YOUR SEA PORTS, TO YOUR AIRPORTS, TO YOUR MARKETS TO INDUSTIRES, YOU LIVE OFF IGBOS TAXES. THEN YOU CAP IT ALL WITH MONTLY ALLOCATION MONEY FROM BIAFRA'S OIL OF WHICH MOST IS GOTTEN FROM IGBOLAND OF RIVERS STATE, DELTA AND SOUTH EAST STATES. YORUBAS WORK AND WAIT TO BE PAID AFTER THE MONTH.

ONCE BIAFRA IS RESTORED, THERE WILL BE REVERSE MIGRATION OF IGBOS BACK TO BIAFRA AND ACTIVITIES AT LAGOS PORTS AND AIRPORT WILL SWITCH OFF LIKE LIGHT BECAUSE YORUBAS ARE NOT INTO BUSINESS TO BE ABLE TO IMPORT GOODS OF THE VOLUME THAT WILL SUSTAIN APAPA AND TINCAN PORTS. YOU MUST BE AFRAID OF YOUR FUTURE.
Igbo tax indeed..
How come Iboland generates similar revenue as the war torn North East?? grin

The Colonial Masters taxed all Nigerians, remember Aba Women Riot in 1927.

Secondly, may I inform you that Awolowo industrial Estate, was simply mapping out a space for Industries, he didn't build one.

Again, Jakode housing units, isn't up to a 1000 units, what's the population of Lagos?

Non of the aforementioned projects has placed Lagos among the list of infrastructurally densed state, aside the ones provided by FG.
1. Bridges
2. Airports
3. Seaport
4. Military Installations
5. Roads
6. Rails
7. Government House
8. Stadiums

All these where built by FG, so... Don't take the glory away from Nigerian state.

Lagos is Lagos because of concentration of Federal government infrastructures.

1. Bridges
2. Roads
3. Stadiums
4. University
5. Airports
6. Seaport
7. Military Installations
8. Even the government house.

All these has attracted lots of investments into Lagos. I challenge you to list infrastructures Lagos had before independence, till standing.
Why has Abuja not new Lagos?
Abuja has more federal investment compare to Lagos

The issue now is what are you going to do about it.

You've shifted the goal post from Federal government to colonial masters .
Exactly what we've been telling you air heads here that Colonial government and nature made Lagos what it is today.

There's nothing Lagos benefitted from the Federal government that other states including yours and mine didn't benefit .

There are military installations, roads and bridges in every state .

If people start lacking points, they resort to insult. Colonial wasn't tasking Lagos, but Nigeria and they choose where to invest them.

Secondly, 80% of infrastructures in Lagos are built by Federal Government, facts. If doubt me, let's list them.

List those during Colonial Era and I will list all the ones built by Federal Government including Lagos Government House.

Abuja enjoys high level of commerce now, besides all IGR coming into Abuja is controlled by FG. Abuja is a top-notch city in Lagos courtesy of FG.

Secondly best city after Lagos, it wasn't done by the indigenous people, but investment of infrastructure by FG.

You mean like the 1st and 2nd niger bridges , the ports built in Onne and Warri...

Lagos ports will always be the most productive
because of the transportation systems

Lagos is more central

right
Lagos income will reduce but it won't be much

How is Lagos more central abeg, central to where exactly?

Warri, Onitsha and P.H are all closer to the North, particularly Abuja, Kaduna and the entire NE and parts of NC than Lagos.

Ogun State has more concentration of industries than any other state in Nigeria

I live in Ota

backward state? grin

are you not ijaw?
Whats up with your oil rich Bayelsa? cheesy

Ondo and Lagos has oil

Ogun has been observed and deposits found

I'm am Urhobo. Delta IGR is higher than that of Ogun in the sum of N9b even with all the industries there. Like I told you, it is the federal government that collects Company Income Tax and not state government. It is the personal income tax of the companies employees that state government collect. More reason there is 100 per cent more companies in Ogun State than Delta but Delta has more IGR than Ogun.
