Let me just drop mine here, been thinking of learning ui/ux design, but before that I want to learn graphic designing... I just want to have any digital skills that deals with creativity and colors, design... Making an ugly idea to be beautiful.. I love challenges like dat. I'm doing some small graphics designing with my phone. Check it out below

They are beautiful. smiley

If you love creativity and colours, you should learn Graphics Design for starters. I don't know how long learning it would take for you. But, I would implore you to learn UI/UX too if you consider it a passion.

However, you'd need a bit, if not more of coding knowledge for learning UX. If you don't have a problem with that, you can pick it up. All the best.

You are right.

Why not go for paid physical classes like APTECH and its likes?

You can ask your questions there from the teachers and have group enthusiasm if you have a problem with being self-motivated whilst still learning on Coursera. By the end of your learning, you'd have had extra knowledge and answered questions. Then, you apply for internships to maximize what you learnt.

However, if you do find someone patient and trusting to show you the ropes away from the suggestion above, you can go for it. Remember, not everyone is a teacher.

This is what I really have in mind, I will pay.

Can you suggest any center around ogun state?

I’m not currently at Lagos

There are so many misplaced opinions here..
First, web design and web development are different...

Then, I hate it when people start talking down on WordPress Devs...do you guys even know who a WordPress developer is?

Most of the problem sha, started with people who design drag and drop websites with WordPress and calling themselves developers. A WordPress developer builds plugins and themes.

To my first point, a web designer (which a great career choice) uses figma, Adobe XD,etc a web developer codes in html, css and JavaScript coupled with a framework and other technologies.

Web design is good and is not close to saturated, Nigeria clients shouldn't even be in your plans at all, if you are serious.

If you're REALLY as good as you claim, your sights shouldn't just be set on Jobs in Nigeria alone.

There are a handful of intensive development [freelance] jobs on stack overflow. Yes the site where programmers ask questions.
Look to the borders of the pages (left & right) to see them. Some don't care where you're located as long as you're good with the tech stack they work with.

I don't know where exactly your interest lie. But I'd by chance you're interested in Data intensive web development jobs, Appsilon is a good company that hires [remote] good developers.
I hear Automattic (an IT company) does (hires remotely) too.

Cheers.

Nope, it is not a waste of time if you know your onions. However, bespoke website development is what would give you good money. Besides, you will need the knowledge of some server side programming language like Java, Php or Python for dynamic websites.
