I am not surprised SE governors aren't present, history is about to repeat itself. In the first Nigerian republic, this was the same treatment Zik melted at Awo. Despite readiness of Awo to form alliance with Zik and other minor group and take finance minister, Zik went ahead and form alliance with NPC thinking they will be easy to manipulate due to their level of exposure. Inability to achieve his aim led to first coup and retaliation of this coup led to Biafra war. The Genesis was at independence when Igbos sold out cheaply by declining the proposed all-south alliance in preference for the ideologically bankrupt NPC-NCNC coalition which threw up Tafawa Balewa as prime minister instead of a person from the South which actually won the 1959 election. Then Igbos again went for the North vs East alliance in 1979 which again produced Shagari a Fulani man bereft of any idea of governance. Igbos would repeat it again in 1999 by colluding with the North to impose a southern lackey of the militaristic Northern Oligarchy in the person of Obasanjo where far better and more dynamic Alex Ekueme and Olu Falae contested PDP primary and general election respectively. Igbos are the real and serial betrayers of the South.

The way you Igbos fixate on this 2015 always leaves me wondering if Jonathan's victory that year would have made him life president of Nigeria. If he had won, wouldn't he have at the end of his tenure in 2019 still end up returning power back to another Fulani moslem whom the PDP would have thrown up as candidate and likewise the APC? And wasn't Jonathan licking the arses of the Hausafulanis'as president at the expense of the Southern interest? Why did the likes of Festus Odimegwu and other prominent Southerners who initially supported him later break ranks with him?
