Hello everyone, what could be causing this on my front tyres? Swapped them to the rear and they're now having the same effect . This only happens to the front tyres.
Thanks in advance

And you in your wildest dreams think CodeRed will spend time on a gloryland conversion? It's like asking radautoworks to engage in such nonsense.... You must sign an NDA first and waive all your legal rights.... I trust temi and code red. Instead of repairing the apparition... returns it and pick another thing from that lot. File a lawsuit against the seller if need be

You don't rotate your tyres. The front tyres bears the mass of the engine, and steering direction. That twisting force in turning is what causes this. When you perform tyre rotation you minimize this and ensure equal amount of wear to all tyres.

Ignorance they say is bliss. If only he knows the problems he's involved in... He'll be lucky to sell it for 500k. He should check the footwells after a carwash or rainfall for pools of water... normal. He should look at the ticking time bomb of the cannibalized SAM module.... The possibility of not ever been able to do an in-depth scanning of the car anymore... You see I can go on and on. That car is after his life and everything he holds dear.... like you said, he just doesn't know it yet.

Greetings my people. I am new to Mercedes and I somehow was convinced to buy a Mercedes e200 2007 that was up for sale at a mechanic's place. The car was already in limp mode. It displays something about reduce break power, abs etc. Somebody said the problem was the sbc. Those regular mechanics don't know how to go about it. I am in Lagos. Please help.
The mechanic who sold the car to you should be questioned. What did he tell you was the fault of the car? 2007 E-class doesn't have SBC brakes. In sure it has a major fault hence the owner sold it out.
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by blackfm: 3:15pm On Sep 20, 2021
Solved this!
Problem was from the ipod kit as suspected. The ipod interface harness was unplugged from the back of the radio and the radio optic cable was plugged to another harness that was just there idle and then plugged to COMMAND.
Radio doesn't go off every 30mins anymore, the steering volume controls work, the dialpad buttons light up, I can now set time, reset service and reverse camera now switches

Just putting this here incase anyone comes looking in future.
blackfm:
Ive got some electrical issue with COMMAND on my 08 C300 radio. The radio turns off by itself every 30 minutes. It will display a message to start ignition and go off after 3 minutes.
I can listen to radio, CDs, aux cable and what not but i have to manually turn off my radio when parked and manually turn it on when I drive.

I looked into it more and many people suggested its caused by the iPod kit being faulty and causing a short in the circuit. I checked the ipod cable in the glove box and the ipod wire is mangled, like a dog chewed it. The car came in like that.
I have unplugged the ipod adapter tucked away behind the front safe, still no joy.the harness is still there though, I don't want to toy with the wiring. Some posts claim their issue was sorted after removing the harness.

Also, my volume and call buttons on my steering wheel dont work, the dial pad does not light up and night/day mode display on command doesn't auto switch.
I can't set the time on my dashboard too.

I can live with the issue but I'll prefer to fix it and properly enjoy these function, turning on COMMAND every 30 minutes is a pain in the butt really.

I'll appreciate recommendations of a good tech to sort this out.

Please all the ogas in the house kindly assist.

Bought this car direct tokunbo, W203 C200 kompressor M271 engine

On trying to gas up the AC system the technician discovered the air isn't blowing into the cabin, which is the air is not coming out from the vent especially through the centre and back vents. And even the one on top of the dashboard facing the windshield directly so he recommended an electrician.

Elerectrician said its the AC fan, possibly not blowing towards the right direction. After some troubleshooting, brought down the dashboard and the fan (blower) he said we have to get the one that blows to both directions.

Got another from ladipo, fixed it yet problem persists.

I was frustrated, after spending money and time... This job has taken 2 whole days yet no tangible result.

I asked him to couple everything and after that the steering wheel refused to turn. B4 that while he was coupling back the dashboard I'd noticed that the steering wheel nokkle below the steering neck doesn't push in and out again so the steering neck can't even easily do it's normal up and down adjustments. I complained to him he said he waz going to fix that later.

So right now, the steering neck can't adjust easily, that nokkle below it is stiff can't even go in let alone come out and the worst of it all the steering wheel doesn't turn.

So I'm confused and frustrated right now but I'm calm, this is first time to own and use a MB so no experience whatsoever.

So please anyone with experience or advice should kindly help.

Could thus be some sort of security or something, if it's some sort of security car wouldn't have start na.

CC: ibbabah, nakoks, OfficialDJ, weyreypey and other gurus in the house

NB: It was discovered car was converted in Europe by some professionals b4 car was brought into nigeria, I must confess they did a professional job leaving no trace unless by someone who has had an experience b4.

Pls tag anyone that can as well help especially with the vent issue

So sorry that you went through all these issues with your ride. Is really unfortunate that a toks car will begin to swallow money when is yet to cover enough kilometers. Most of these dealers are evil, they are just after profit and not after sales satisfaction. He knew about the conversion but will tell you all manner of sweet words at the point of purchase.
I bought a toks MB C180 in 2019 and the car kept overheating. I had to change gasket and fixed radiator but the problem persist. I had to go and dump the car with the car dealer. I requested for my former car. A toks car will definitely have some minor repairs but not a massive one that takes over a N100k from you and still counting. There maybe unfolded issues yet to be known. Only God knows what is warming up to pop out again. For peace of mind and value for your money, please return the car now that the damage hasn’t gone far. Let him find another car that will give you value for your money. This time around, please do take a competent fellow who knows in and out of that particular car you are going for. Doing this at all times helps to safeguard our pockets from those evil dealers and Kazeems ready to make us daily customers.

Tokunbo or Nigeria used?

Why didn't you carry us along with the purchase. You should have done a PPI.... Cut the excess expenses. And we'll have directed you to places it could be fixed with warranty in Lagos.

But now you're in Enugu.... Everything there requires that you visit a Mercedes Benz specialist

Ah!! Baba I never knew it had those errors. My G I sent to get the car said everything was intact.

Please what are the likely causes, how to repair and cost.

Though I was told those errors aren’t much of issues but I don’t like taking chances

It’s Nigerian used but clean though

Please also add Catalyst to the list. From experience and am saying this because I have witnessed it. There is high probability that your catalyst has been stolen.let a specialist inspect for you. You see there are terrible dealers and mechanic everywhere , when you buy a car from them like that and you want them to deliver it to a certain location. What they do is they will take it to LADIPO first remove the follow come catalyst and fill it up with the China type that is common in the market and re- install back to the car. I bet You won’t even notice because they will not leave any traces. All these people saying their catalyst is still intact please re-check and come back to the forum to update us if it’s original or China type
We are waiting for your feedback
