We know those who are supporting our darling president so that he can die and Mere commissioner will take over...

We know those who are licking our boots so that power will be given to them....

Let me digress, all those online beef you igbos and yorubas exhibit to make us think you are fighting we know it is a decoy...

Now get this to your heads...power will stay in the North in 2023

While declaring total support for the Southern governors, Sagay said Nigeria is made up of two countries (North and South) amalgamated in 1914.

According to him, one part of the country cannot be ruling while treating the other part as inconsequential.

" I have been saying it in the last two years that the next president should be from the Southern part of the country. I agree with the Southern governors absolutely. We have to commit to fairness and inclusivity if this country is to remain as one. We are so diverse. It is a country where two large parts are amalgamated. They were not the same country before and that is still clear. So, the two sides must be involved in the governance of Nigeria.

“That issue of presidency must be conceded to the South now and then later to the North. The North is enjoying the period of presidency which will end in eight years, after that, I think it will be very reckless for anybody who insists that the North should continue to have it.

“It is like behaving as if the other part of the country is irrelevant and can be ignored, insulted and not considered in the issue of governance. That to me is dangerous. We should just agree that the next president should be from the South”.

I am not saying Nigeria should be divided. But if it's ever going to happen, people need to realise that this country can only be divided into two, along the amalgamation lines (North and South). All these calls for Biafra and Oduduwa Nation will not yield any fruit. Nigeria is two countries formed into one. It will be less difficult for the two countries involved go their separate ways than for Nigeria to break into 4 or 5 different parts.

It doesn't matter if it must come south, it must come south East.
IPOB is the most potent reason why this country is shaken to its foundation and everybody is waking up against the greedy north. You can't deny that.

God bless MNK. If anyone disagrees, the lagoon calls..

All southerners should come together to fight the north come 2023. Seems they (north) are ready to clinch unto power at all cost, it is only a united south that can fight them.
What is the difference between the North contesting and the SW doing same? Why should one condemn one and applaud the other?

Truth is this, there's nothing like zoning presidency.
The only reason people are calling for rotation between North and South is for fairness and equity between the two countries that make up Nigeria. Now the onus is on anybody good enough in the south to position him/herself for the position incase it happens to be rotated to the south. It's a lot difficult to rotate presidency between the 6 senatorial zones because North central can even lay claim to the right to contest for the presidency just like south east. As much as we want rotation, we want competence as well. Rotation should end at the sub national level because having a competent leader is the priority.

One major party can present someone competent from the SW, the other party can present someone competent from the SE and let the country vote for the best candidate. It's fine if both parties end up finding competent candidates in your zone and it's also fine if the don't end up finding someone in your zone.
But both major parties cannot be expected to present someone from the SE simply because of "zoning".

Keep deceiving yourself!
The same way it exhibited power in 2010 when Yaradua died after 3 years in office and Jonathan forcefully contested in 2011 abi?

By the way,
Obasanjo 8 years
Yaradua 3 years
Jonathan 5 years
Buhari 6 years

Total:
South 13 years
North 9 years.

Also, in 2011 when it suited you people you said no more rotation in Nigeria. Now you're saying something else because your former campaign doesn't suit you. Who do you think you're fooling?

Which United South, the one that sold them selves in 2015. Is funny how we forget so soon. Presidency is not by region, is by competence.

Let all Nigerians be it South, North or west or east contest, is their fundamental right.

The same way we shun the SE that they can guilt trip us into having president, the same we can't guilt trip the North into becoming president.

Irrespective of where the president comes from, equity and fairness can still be achieved. Is it governors that elect the president or the Nigerian people. Even if the two major political parties zone to south and Nigerians see the better candidate in another party whose candidate not from the south, will you go there and change it? Is this the way you understand your democracy Prof.?

Zoning to the east isn't equity and fairness. What happens to North central? They've never had any democratic leader. Can't the position be zoned to them too?

so Buhari is no longer 8 years, with this your calculation, what about 5 years of Shagari, what about your Babangida, Abacha, Buhari, Abdulsalam and Gowon as a head of state, you're not a sincere person, sincerity is far from you

Rotational Presidency between North and South is not in the constitution, but the President can come from any part of the country and that is the beauty of Party politics. And “ceding” the Presidency is a wrong choice of word. You don’t cede the Presidency, you plan and work together with all parts and the country as done by APC for the 2015 election.
In America where we copied our democracy from only 7 out of 45 American Presidents were from the south and nobody is asking for ceding Of Presidency to the south there.
Of course we can change the constitution to include rotational Presidency, but right now it is not in our constitution.

There's nothing wrong if the North continues to rule because it's "technically" Nigeria and every citizen has the right to contest for any position in the country.

The constitution doesn't say anything about rotating presidency, it's not even the best way to select a president.
Rotation of presidency is only coming up because Nigeria is literally made up of 2 countries, northern and southern. And it's only fair to rotate the opportunity to lead between the two sides. Afterall both countries would have produced their own president at that level if it wasn't for the amalgamation. Rotating between north and south isn't guilt tripping in my opinion. It's just respect and if it doesn't happen, no big deal
