I honestly don’t know. Lagos is even better, Abuja is worse. You will call Abuja office they will direct you to Lagos.

The German embassy is not all that open for any physical contact. I guess they think we all got Covid or something as people no dey use nose mask for anywhere lol

Pls I need help. The german website keeps saying "unfortunately there's no appointment available at this time, new appointments will be made available at regular intervals "

Is there a particular time to check for the appointment dates or am I going about it all wrong?

There is no appointment. I have said that earlier especially for consular and legal purpose. I don’t know about new visa bookings.

What does "not even available to give certificate for fintiba" mean, please? Are you trying to get back your money and looking to book for the account closure thingy?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 8:15pm On Sep 17, 2021
Absolutely. Collecting back my money.

Thank you for answering. So, if I want my money back now, how do I go about it? Just try to get it back from fintiba, and mail them that there's no appointment, shey? They will contact the embassy and just send me my thing? I don't need to go to Lagos?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 10:17pm On Sep 17, 2021
Closing blocked account.

After cancelling your booking. You will forward cancellation email to the embassy and state you want to close your blocked account. They will then reply with a mail “Application for Sperrfreigabe”.

You will forward this mail to Fintiba though they would copy Fintiba support anyway. If not fintiba will contact them and get the certificate (Sperrfreigabe) for you.

Furthermore, Fintiba will do a legitimation verification where they do a video call with you.

Here, you will need to upload a JPEG image of your passport on the link sent to your email by Fintiba. Then during the video verification you will place your passport on the camera and move it as instructed by the agent. Afterwards another email will be sent requesting account details you want the money to be sent.

No need to come to Lagos.

There is no appointment slot this month or the next for consular service so why bother.

I did Five years ago!
They were horrible. I nearly missed my connecting flight at Casablanca. Layoff time was too short.

I was without my luggages for two weeks.

Positives:
They are quite cheap.

Tips: make sure you have your important documents/things in your hand luggage.

If the layoff is in minutes. Don’t walk. Run so as to catch up your next flight.

Safe flight.
