The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it will enforce a sit-at-home order on October 1.

Nigeria will mark its 61st independence anniversary on October 1.

In a statement on Saturday, Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman, said all Nigerian flags in the south-east region should be brought down.

Powerful said the proscribed group is taking these actions in solidarity with Ambazonia, a secessionist group in Cameroon, whose purported independence anniversary is on October 1.

“IPOB has declared 1st of October 2021 total shutdown in Biafra land as a sign of our rejection of the construct called Nigeria and there shall be no movement in Biafra land on this day,” he said.

“Also IPOB has declared from today, 25th September 2021, that all Nigerian flags mounted anywhere in Biafra land must be brought down, banks exceptional.

“IPOB leadership will communicate to Banks directly and give them reasons they must peacefully bring down the Nigerian flag in their banking premises before we do it ourselves in our own way.

“Everybody must strictly adhere to these directives from IPOB leadership, we want to let the world know that Biafraland is not Nigeria and shall not be.

“We advise Biafrans to stand with Ambazonia people as they celebrate their God-given freedom and independence.”

Cowards. When Boko Haram became bolder and started killing innocent people. And ordering people to follow their religion forcefully, we formed civilian task force and confront them. The government even supported Boko Haram by ordering people to surrender their weapons. We used stick and cutlass, Until the government armed our civilian task force with AKA 47. The Almighty Boko Haram is now finished. Common lowlife terrorists ordering the people to Sit-At-Home while they can't do anything except come here and wail on social media. FCKING COWARDS.

What is the meaning of sit at home? How does it affect the government? This is just because the so called governors of the SE are weak. Where did IPOB get the power to start making life this tough for Igbos?

Breaking: Boko Haram Kills About 30 Soldiers In Borno. grin grin grin

Dozens of military troops who were on their way to Maiduguri on Friday were ambushed by suspected members of Boko Haram linked to ISWAP group, reliable Sources told Vanguard.

The incident according to Sources took place between Marte- Dikwa council areas, when the insurgents fired Rocket Launchers at military trucks which culminated into sporadic shootings, killing troops who are being conveyed from Marte Local Government Area to Maiduguri.

Marte about 180km north from Maiduguri remained one of the council areas of Borno that is not fully occupied by civilian population, as most of its people are displaced and taking refuge in Monguno, and some parts of Maiduguri environs.

Initially reliable source told our Correspondent that 16 soldiers lost their lives in the ambush, but it was later learnt on Saturday evening from another source that “about 30 soldiers were killed with others sustained gunshot injuries”.

“What happened to troops along Marte- Dikwa axis was very devastating sounding a warning that the end to terrorists is not realistic. Some soldiers who have spent quite a number of time were given Pass to pay visit to their families/ loved ones. Unfortunately, while they were on their way from Marte to Maiduguri, they were ambushed by suspected armed ISWAP who fired a Rocket Launchers on the trucks conveying them, living about 30 soldiers dead, even as some are still missing in action.” Reliable Source said.

All efforts to get confirmation from the Police Public Relations Officer proved abortive at press time, while the military spokesman’s department are yet to issue a statement on the matter.

What a silly threat! Only cowards go around threatening people because they have no real power. If you're so strong, do something consequential to Buhari's government instead of hiding in your room under the guise of sit at home. You can't even think of reasonable methods of pressing your demands. Rubbish!
