Abuja-kaduna is a light railway. The new lagos-ibadan is a light railway. I am working on some of this project and I know. We have complained to the government that they need to do industrial railway but they will not listen to us which are doing the construction.
If what you are saying is true, why are they extending the rail lines to Apapa Ports? Is it not to carry cargoes out of Lagos?

You should visit London or New York. Trains break down DAILY on their lines leading to long delays. No biggie. So long as you have trained engineers at hand to fix any issues, and the NRC does.
Stop minding enemies of progress.

If your eyes are working, you will see that there is only Abuja Kaduna rail line in that picture, and there is no second Niger bridge there.

Or have your eyes gone to heaven ahead of you? Sé ojú e ti re'lé dè ẹ́ ni?

Used the train twice from Lagos to Ibadan and back to Lagos. Must say it’s commendable. We need more of these. It was slow though, that was due to the on going construction I guess. Very comfortable and sweet stress free ride. Paid 2,600 for regular, 4,000 is for business class. I just hope it’s well maintained.

Nonsense revolution. Only if they can maintain, sustain and bring new innovations and development but I sincerely doubt it because in the next 5 years everything will start disappearing and services to customers wud become terrible. Just look at our international airports and what it look likes at dis age 2021 then you will understand nigeria is a failed state

Really?? I’ve never encountered one not once.

Yes several reasons could cause delay but “daily” breakdowns ? Not sure about that.

IT IS HIGH SPEED RAIL, which is commonly defined as rail speeds upwards of 200km per hour.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-speed_rail

''Abuja-Kaduna is a 186km line with standard gauge railway tracks from Idu, near Abuja, to Kaduna in the north-western region of Nigeria. It has nine stations and features both passenger and cargo trains. The passenger trains on the line can be operated at a speed between 200km/h and 250km/h.''

https://www.railway-technology.com/projects/abuja-kaduna-rail-line/

As of today’s date, There’s no operational High Speed Train in Nigeria.
Re: Nigeria's Railway Revolution (Pictures) by sunboy(m): 8:52am On Sep 28, 2021
Reflect7:

Because they are still technically test running them to ensure safety. The NRC has said they will do this since these are the first high speed trains in West Africa, and care must be taken to ensure they run safely at such high speeds. So speed will increase incrementally.

That is the common sense approach.

Wait until it is operational, until then We do not have any high speed train sir.

You borrowed money to build less than 1000km speed rail in 2021 for a population of 200 million and you are achieved? No wonder

Sad enough, this project was abandoned for 30 years, but took PMB less than 3 years to complete and put to use to benefit Nigerians.

Anything is possible, we just need good, credible, focused, dedicated and competent leadership.

Stop spewing propanganda. Everyone knows you folks are fond of spewing propaganda. This projects has well being underway during the administration of Umaru Yardua/Jonathan. Julius Berger was handling the construction as at 2012. Buhari came and met the project at 60% completion. Even Buahri gives credit to the previous administration before him for starting it off. So back off with your propanganda

Why did Jonathan never complete anything? All we read about is 80% complete, 60% complete etc. It is more difficult to complete a project than to begin. Heck, even Ajaokuta was 93% completed by the military. Do we have Ajaokuta operating today? Jonathan didn't even start the lagos Ibadan rail network, which was started and completed by this Government.
Better is the end of a thing thereof than the beginning.
