I can imagine the respect you would have for him from that day onward.

Mine was in 2014. I was just walking down the street to a junction to get bread after a rainy evening. A police man with a gun strapped walked past me presumably drunk. A voice within told me to slow down and let him pass and give me a few metres gap.

Almost immediately, he stumbled and released 2 bullet simultaneously, I just bent low and froze. Luckily, I wasn't harmed. I give God the Glory

I have on several occasions when death was just a hair's breath away, but i'm alive today only because Someone up there decided that my time to depart this world had not yet come, some of which I'm going to share here.

The first was one I wasn't even aware of myself when it happened because I was just an infant at the time. It was my mum who later told me about it.

She and my dad were about to zoom off to church with the car when they had a crackling sound underneath the car, and had to stopped the car immediately.

When they came down from the car, guess who they saw under the car? Yes it was yours truly, to their greatest shock. I was the one under the car that made the car to make that crackling sound, after they had just began to move, but please don't ask me what I was doing there, I didn't even know that I was there at any point. But thankfully when I was assessed by them, I was very fine and yet bouncing, no bruises, nothing, which was also shocking but a much welcomed one.

However they were still in complete shock because of what had happened as the thought of how differently things could have panned out couldn't leave their mind.

Just imagine what the news have been would be like regardless that it wasn't deliberate. That they had ran over their child on their way to the church and he died as a result. It was better imagined than lived but thank God, He who never sleeps nor slumbers was watching over me that day, so it panned out in a way they could still share the story with me much later, not without me.

the day i can remember vividly was on the 29th of november 2020.... I was driving home that night while it was raining cats and dogs. I was in my car and i entered the estate where i live... Suddenly, while still driving, a naked life wire dropped right infront of my car and was sparking, i was flabbergasted... I parked my car right infront of this naked wire and i got down. The wire was still Sparking right on the ground.. The security guards came around and an electritian was called.. Had it been i did not see the wire dropping, only God knew what would had happened, when i got home that day, i couldn't thank God enough..

Hopefully, there won't be a next time, but it is safer to have stayed in your car, than stepping out of it in that situation. Unless there's a fire, NEVER get out of a car with a power line on top of or close to it. Even at that, you'd have to hop out of it. There are YouTube videos to teach you this. Thank God for saving you though.

Many times, but God pass them all.

A construction work was going on in our compound some years ago, i was close to the workers, chatting with them as they were working.

My father's friend was around too to observe what was going on. All of a sudden, the man just told me to move backward, away from the wall that had just been raised up and was yet to dry.

It was not up to 3 seconds he said that, that the wall fell flat, the exact wall at the exact spot where i was standing!

My father was just thanking God and his friend because the chances of me surviving such a fall was very slim; in fact if one should survive, he may become paralyzed forever.

We could only imagine what could have happened!!
I still thank God everyday for the gift of life.

May 1 1998. 3am. I was on night bus from PH to Lagos. Between Benin and Ore. The luxury bus (belonging to the most popular transport company in Nigeria at that period) slammed into a stationery trailer carrying concrete slabs . Driver, conductor and passengers in the first five row of seats all died.

Before then, I always sat on the first row of seats in a luxury bus anytime I travel. But on this particular trip, as I went to buy the ticket at PH, as soon as the ticket attendant asked me; what seat do you want? ( I was number one on the ticket queue just because I must chose seat 1, 2, 3 or 4. But as soon as she asked the question, I opened my mouth but nothing came out.

Everyone on the line started shouting at me to chose my seat and leave the queue. I struggled to speak but nothing came out. Someone from the back shouted that I was starring at the beautiful ticket attendants breasts. Still nothing came from my mouth.

In punishment, the ticket attendant (was also shouting at me now to make a choice so she can attend to others) assigned me seat number 44. The very last row on the bus. And ordered me to leave the queue. I left in shock; me? Seat 44? But I was temporarily dumb.

That was my saving grace.

3am, between Benin and Ore. I was asleep. Suddenly BANG!
I still (very clearly) hear the shrieks, cries and moaning of the dying till this day. The night was pitch black. I have a slight scar on my face from that. Because I was in the last row, I was thrown forward and hit my face on the floor on top of some object.

Another bus quickly stopped and offerd those of us with minor injury free ride to Lagos.

What struck me with dumbness when I wanted to claim seat number 1?

Not mine but someone I know. He was a ragamuffian in his youth days, he was as the club one night enjoying himself, everywhere dey bubble. A police man was seated with a rifle drinking and enjoying himself. Suddenly there was a loud bang and what he knew was that the person beside him feel to the ground, he was shot in the head by the drunk police man and died on the spot. At that point it dawned on him that if that was him where will be end up (hell obviously). He gave his life to Christ and he's a great pastor in my church now.

Cars are Faraday cages, so nothing would have happened to you, as far as you were inside the car when it dropped.

At the age of one or there about, I swallowed one kobo coin (1k). the original 1K and not the one indomie children mention anyhow these days. This coin used to be bold and heavy, so it got stuck inside me, along my intestine and miraculously, God forced it out without surgery after some medications.
Same year, I lifted a heavy Charcoal pressing iron already heated with burning Ember, it slipped off my tiny fingers and dropped on one of my little legs. It remained there frying my leg as I couldn’t take it out due to the weight of the iron and the shock, until my mum came to rescue.
At about 7 years old. I was got drown in a river in my village but was rescued not before I have collected some gallons of the river water into my stomach and was already unconscious. They had to press my stomach to get rid of the excess water before bringing me back to life.

At about 9 or 10 years old, I was drunk and almost fell into fire when I was rescued.

Twice had serious electric shock incidents that if not for God, I would have been forgotten. A lot of near misses.
At another time, I was driving and lost control of the Car, maybe I slept off on the steering and the car summersaulted severally and fell into a ditch, a brand-new Toyota Hilux was severely damaged, but came out safe with a passenger with me.

And so many that I may not remember now, but in all my God delivered me. To Him be all the praises, honor and glory forever and ever, Amen.
