1. What islam permits is secondary to what the Nigerian constitution permits. Section 1(3) of the Constitution says "If any law is inconsistent with the provisions of this constitution, this constitution shall prevail , and that other law shall to the extent of the inconsistency be void.” there were no exceptions to this rule.

2. It is the rich that marries underage mostly. Just like in most application of sharia, the poor are on the suffering end while the rich enjoy the mostly illegal benefits.

3. Morally, it is a repulsive act. Not only is the age differences too high, the medical danger to the girl is also significant. Lets call a spade a spade.

Unless it is with another 15 year old. If it is with a legal adult, the adult can be jailed for statutory rape. There is nothing like consent from a minor. I thought every course in University and Polytechnics taught this part of contract law?
