Your child should be able to travel with her US passport but there are underlying issues that might pose a hindrance. For one DHL won’t carry international passport across border. The dependant visa would usually be valid for the specified time limit on the visa on it, assuming it’s 3 months then within that period the child has to cross the border with it . What if she is not able to do it within three months?

If your ask me, if you are really pressed to travel , I would suggest the dad stays with her and wait for the passport while you travel with the others, then they can join later.

You should also check with DHL, I tried to send a passport sometime in 2009 and that’s when I was told they don’t carry international passport across borders. They would only carry within any country

For someone who sincerely and genuinely cannot remember the true outcome of his visit visa application to the UK for more than 12 years ago, what is the best way to handle this during visa application?

Note that he used an agent to apply and therefore didn't get any refusal letter from the agent.

You can acknowledge the refusal and state that you can remember the reason and that i happened 12 yrs ago.

I wont advise you to let her use her US passport to travel. I had similar scenario with my first daughter and we were advise to wair for her dependent visa reason being that you dont know who you might meet at then POE. Obviously they can see her status that its still pending, and then you are coming in with a student or dependent visa and your daughter is coming in with her US passport Which might spring up so many questions.

Also, how will you send the passport through the border cause it has to be stamped, unless if you will be bringing her back to nigeria to pick up her passport then travel back. Yes with her US passport she can travel to UK and stay legally for 3 months but you guys travelling together might pose a serious questioning and you might be lucky without having any issue but i will suggest she wait with her dad and come in immidiately she receive her visas cause I travelled a week after my wife travelled too when we got my daughter visa

Just started another study application and i stated it there the reason being insufficient funds to cater for the entire family and accomodation too .... They have all the details, its best to be truthful. All the best.

Yes state the refusal.

Say you were denied as a minor 18 years ago and father doesn't have the refusal letter any longer. They will look it up but doesn't affect your application in any way
