I've been to Onitsha before and it's quite a beautiful city. Being a commercial city, the wuru-wuru was just too apparent.
.
But take it from me, Kano is still miles ahead of Onitsha.

Kano has better road infrastructure because of very high federal allocation that they get.

That's one. Now talk about the looted oyel money the northern politicians are using to build Dubai standard houses, businesses and infrastructures.

Oil money will finish soon, I wonder where money will come from. They are in for some trouble in the coming years where there won’t be any money to maintain their infrastructures and lifestyles.

You people still don't understand northern politics. I prefer northern politics to everything I've ever seen in the South and MiddleBelt.

.
See how schools (tertiary education), transportation are in the north and compare it to the massive estortion going on in the public tertiary institution in the South.
In the South and MiddleBelt, everyone is a Prof and everyone wants to be a champ. See how Umahi and that Imo guy is selling out Igbos cheaply. Tell me, which northern politician would do that?
.
An average northern big man would do something tangible for his community. Doesn't matter how small. Borehole, culvert, streetlight, drainage system-things you hardly see in the South.

.
In the absence of oil money, the unity of the North would be a huge asset. If not for the insecurities and the religious factor ravaging the north, I'd prefer to live Kano than step foot in PH or even Abia

Why wait na, start now now!! undecided

While it is important, its not the most urgent priority because the lives of my people are taken daily. The struggle for Biafra comes first!

Old man acting like a child. What a shame. In 2031 you will still be doing this nonsense while your mates pass you by in life. Continue acting a fool.

Onitsha

This is how the area the op posted looks like today. You can see the progress.

I’m still trying to decipher what the OPs intentions were for posting those ugly pics of Onitsha....not more than 20 years old, that he called ‘rare old pictures’! Was expecting to see charming, colonial-era pics of Onitsha (some of which i uploaded a few years ago), but instead had my senses assaulted by pre-PeterObi era pics of Onitsha, when it was still suffering from a near-absence of gov’t attention!
