This morning I received a message from NIS that my passport is ready for collection (On messager) after sending messages since last week
I was asked to make time and go for collection this week, when I collect the passport ill quote this thread
“Strictly DIY”

Please if you can find your way to ebonyi state, you can do express and get your passport same day, highest the next day. I went yesterday and got it yesterday by 8pm.

My advice,

If you are coming from very far, on the day of your arrival, lodge in a hotel, I lodged in WDC, the next morning be at the immigration office very early. Meet any of the officials and tell them you need express it's about 70k or more depending on your bargaining power. Do the registration, then capturing. Relax and wait for your passport, wait and keep lobbying and begging your agent to make it faster for you.

If you get your passport same day, you go back to your hotel room and leave the next day.

Another thing you can do is if you can reach the immigration office anytime before 6pm, still enter and struggle to know if you can do registration and capturing, then go to your hotel and come back the next morning to collect your passport.

This is pending when their passport finishes oh.

official price for passport not done in Lagos, Abuja or Ph is 17k. You people should stop this wickedness as Nigerians and allow the system work

I think there's someone who posted in the past about having a problem with saanapay and they just sorted out the payment rather than send the refund to their account. I checked saanapay page and they say you can chat them on the weekends. Might be worth a try.
I used innovest1pay successfully though .

Yes. It's over 6 weeks now.

I wrote a mail and copied support of both new works solution and immigration and one other mail that is reserved for high commission something something (found it on nis website) stating the issue with application, reference and transaction id.

I also sent a separate mail to Saanapay cause I didn't even know which of them was meant to effect the update. Did this on Thursday

I received a response the next day with why it didn't reflect and was told a refund has been initiated.

Sent a mail to Saanapay with the ref code nis sent to show refund was initiated and copied the emails stated above. Did this on Monday

Was refunded on Tuesday.

Mind you Saanapay never responded, it was just new works and NIS support that responded my mails.

Nigerian system has made surviving for the common man really difficult.

Assuming there was an assurance of getting my passport which I DIY i will gladly accept to wait. But as it stands now if I have 70k and have assurance of getting the passport within 2 days i ll pay the money. than wait 2+ months.

Nigeria system is in the mud.

Real mud. I was in festac today to find out whats up with the passport.

First Question an Immigration Officer asked me is : who is the officer handling your file? I asked her what do you mean by officer , she said the person who took you to capture? I told her i am doing it myself , then she directed me to Servicom office.

At Servicom office, they asked what date i captured, i told them last month, the look on their faces simply gave me the answer( meaning- you will wait a long time for it).

I dont understand why they cant remove the 32 pages section from the NIS portal and let people pay for 64 pages. Now, we have to wait or pay ridiculous amounts for same 32 pages passport they claim isnt available that its just 64 pages.
