There is no better country than Switzerland in Europe. It has a very developed economy, high standard of living and all that. Yes, the country is expensive, but if you live and work there everything will be fine.

That is quite in demand here too but I must tell you, you need the language to stand out. They wouldn't even look you twice if your resume is in English to start with
please is there demand for economics or business related courses?

There is a decent standard of living in Europe in each country, the only thing you need to choose is a town that you will like. I personally like Italy and especially I am crazy about the island of Corsica, there people have a hasteless and calm lifestyle.

I don't know the best country for you. But make sure that you have proof of your husband's dead. It can help your asylum case if you have a proof, that there is nobody to help you in case of return to Nigeria. How old is your child? Boy or girl? Bring documents along with you like birth cert, marriage cert. And so on.

Do you have any professional skills? University degree??

Yes, Swiss uses a stringent quota based system, but guess what?
.
If you have an indemand skill you can apply for the Permit C visa type.
.
If you are into Blockchain and IT/Network Security and AI/ML, you gat green light to Swiss

I think Belgium/Holland.
You can be black or purple but you still fit in, racial prejudice is literally absent (compared to other European countries), Communication in English is largely obtainable and if you are legal, true equal employment opportunities exist, regardless of your ethnicity.
Switzerland: A black unit sticks out like a sore thumb and you feel the occasional weight of racial discrimination at times, which could range from being mild to intense. Then again the language challenge sneaks in- You gotta know French & German... yeah its kinda like a bi/tri lingual country. You see the thing with Swiss is, it's quite difficult to settle in there as a legal migrant, they have the stiffest Immigration policy in Europe as a whole, so asides being a student, diplomat, special fxn or married to a Swiss woman, you will always attract law enforcement to yourself as a foreigner.
Germany: it's obviously the big apple of western Europe but asides the language challenge, it is not easy being a migrant in Germany as the competition is very high because everyone wants to be in Germany.
Denmark, Finland, Norway: Good countries but very errrm personal people (basically, they keep to themselves alot, don't expect caring neighbours) ...However, there is a language challenge, though some Scandinavians speak English esp Norwegians but don't expect it from everything like ATMs for example.
Sweden: I classed Sweden alone for good reason, it used to be a great place until the immigrant crisis occured... there is this subtle hostility Swedish folk harbor towards foreigners now esp if you are of colour.
The language challenge also exists in Sweden.
France: Trust me forget about moving here... no need to explain.
Austria: Personally, I would have loved Austria, if not for the Language, these guys don't even give a hoot about English. Like an Austrian can speak English but deliberately chooses to speak to you in German even if you do not understand. Mheen the language challenge is huge, so unlike Germany where people switch to English if necessary. One looses out on opportunities just because of a lack of German knowledge in Austria.
Poland: Forget about this one.
Greece: This one too...
Czech Republic: Trust me this country is sloooooow... It's really meant for themselves, they are pretty much laid back in everything they do. Then a Language problem exists as well, some Czechs find people of colour fascinating others don't.
Slovenia & Slovakia: Think of Czech people who behave Russian for some odd reason ... well good countries but language issues and laid back lifestyles. Yes! You are gonna face discrimination (I said it)
Spain: It depends on how you want to view a half glass of water that's how life in Spain is.
Of course Spanish is a must!
Portugal: Think Spain with a different language that's Portugal. If you raised your kids in Portugal, they'd probably sing Cristiano Ronaldo nursery Rhymes everyday... in both countries I.e Spain and Portugal Farming in large scale is quite lucrative (asides football). Its also quite easy to get around immigration issues(don't ask me how).
Italy: As an Immigrant......
No be from my mouth you go hear say Okra dey draw...
For me its Belgium/Holland all the way.
Oh I forgot, you get a Belgian passport pretty fast if you are a legal resident. Unfortunately our bomb totting friends have caused them to review that clause, it may change soon.

Would you consider Belgium as an option for a family man with a kid?

It depends on what you want and what you do... basically it depends on your plan in General...
Do you have a job or you want to hussle it out?
Because if the latter is your option then you are on a long thing
