Let us take a look at 3 Non-Yoruba political office holders who have been appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.


1. Joe Igbokwe :

Joe Igbokwe is one of the most respected and revered Igbo leaders in Lagos State. He was a former publicity secretary of All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, South West region of Nigeria.

The outspoken political gladiator hails from Anambra State in the South East region of Nigeria. He is presently the Special Adviser on drainage and water resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

2. Sam Egube :

Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube, an Urhobo man, hails from Ughelli in Delta State, South-South region of Nigeria.

He is currently the Honourable Commissioner of Economic Planning and Budget in the cabinet of Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu.

3. Architect Kabiru Ahmed Abdullahi :

Kabiru Ahmed Abdullahi hails from Daura in Katsina State, northern region of Nigeria.


The Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State is presently the Commissioner of Waterfront Infrastructure.


Abdullahi, who is of Fulani extraction is one of the most respected and revered northerners in Lagos State

The Hausa/Fulani are suspicious of the Youruba but they do not hate the Yoruba. The are also accommodating to the Yorubas.

The Edo/Isekiri/Urhoro are siblings to the Yorubas even though they have their own identity. The Efik/Ibibio are somewhat indifferent to the Yoruba but that is fine. The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Everyday they are castigating Tinubu, Fayemi and Osinbajo; and other potential Yoruba presidential candidates. The other day they were calling Yoruba women undesirable and dirty. All of them were hating on Peter Okoye for marrying a “dirty Yoruba woman” - a woman who is more educated and exposed than anyone in their generation. They insult the same Lagos where they live - why don't they just go back to Onitsha and Aba.

They insult anything Yoruba- from Anthony Joshua, Wizkid, Tiwa and everything Yoruba. These insults are not unnoticed. Yoruba will not forget and will surely retaliate!

This Yoruba people eh, hope you guys won’t die on top of Lagos one day o. Other citizens from the different regions are even suppose to hold more prominent positions because Lagos is more of a cosmopolitan city, but tribalism has blinded your eyes.

There's nothing that stops Yorubas and probably Egun(Gun) people from dominating every office in Lagos because Lagos also have indigenous people just like your state of orgin.

And you actually missed the point that those people were actually appointed by Yorubas to Foster unity in Lagos.

There are other non Yorubas in Lagos that won elections and actually hold elective position.

Meanwhile we have two igbos and an Hausa man holding important positions in Oyo state too.

He ruled over Eko which originally described a small part of Lagos island not Lagos state under the current arrangement.

And more fun fact, he ruled over Eko Aromire an Awori sub clan of Lagos which he met there.

There were vast areas of Lagos state in which he has no power over then and today

Ikorodu, Epe, ibeju, most parts of mainland which the Egbas and other Awori controlled, Badagry areas which the Egun and Awori controlled, the waters ways which ilaje controlled.

This can never ever happen in any Eastern State. How many non Igbos are in the East compare to the way the easterners flood other regions but still the blame others for their problems
