Hello all,

I thought to finally delve into mobile app development but there seems to be so many languages and frameworks. Please which of them should I start with?

Thank you kindly

Do you have a background in Development?

I'd say you start with Android Dev. I'm a bit left of center and would say start with Java (or Kotlin). But I don't know the current trends in mobile app development

You can learn android. You need only need to learn Java, OOP concepts, android SDK and Android Studio. If you know CSS, you can easily grasp XML for defining layout of apps.

You don't need to cram anything. Just learn the fundamentals and you can use stackoverflow if you are stuck.

To learn Java, use w3schools and sololearn. Make sure you understand all concepts.

For android development, start with a freecodecamp video on YouTube tutored by Meisam.

Google is moving the default language from Java to Kotlin. It is advise for pple just starting Android development to go for Kotlin. It is just that as usual, Java will have more resources/tutorials available than Kotlin but the Google codelab sample will get you covered to a level.
Some android opening do state that Kotlin is preferred though they do accept Java.

Start with a little Java to let's say OOP concepts then move to Kotlin. Remove every fear of missing out(FOMO). Try and follow a roadmap
