Security Operatives Take Over Lekki Tollgate Ahead Of #EndSARS Memorial Protest by sammy329(m): 7:33pm On Oct 19, 2021
Security operatives, including police, soldiers and others have stormed the Lekki toll gate to prevent the first anniversary of #EndSARS nationwide protests.

The police authorities and State Government had warned against another phase of protests.

But the adamant groups have vowed not to back down despite the repeated warnings.

Organisers of the memorial protest have been mobilising on social media platforms.


They vowed to storm the Lekki Tollgate in a car procession.

The Nation reports the tollgate has been shut since October 20, after the EndSARS incident.


Witnesses told The Nation that heavy presence of armed security operatives was spotted in some parts of Lekki and other areas of the State.

Can't they deploy half of these security men at Lekki tollgate to states like Zamfara, Kaduna, Kastina, Sokoto And Benue or is it that lives of people in those states doesn't matter?

If only the zoo can be this serious in building the economy and fighting terrorism the country would have being paradise by now..

Over 1 Billion Naira worth of properties were destroyed.
With less than 10% of the carnage back into operation now.
Many private businesses collapsed because of some hoodlums that were out to kill, steal and destroy.

They penetrated in the midst of those of us that went out to protest genuinely about the bad eggs among the Police.
Never in our nation are we gonna witness the theft and destruction witnessed a year ago.

Private citizens looking for their daily breads will never face such calamities again from those who came out to steal, kill and destroy.

Why cant they go and block tin can or aso rock? Why toll gate? Blocking the toll never made sense in the first place. Block what affects the govt not regular citizens. What did SARS have to do with the toll in the first place. We always fight the wrong battle.

This is one year now. The story of the youths who were at the toll plaza have NEVER CHANGED.

Meanwhile, the police, army, FG, LASG, and the LCC have ALL severally given conflicting and self-contradictory stories.

We ordered. We didn't order. We fired. We didn't fire. We fired rubber bullets. The bullets picked at the plaza are not military-marked. A governor cannot order the army. The governor called in the army. Cameras were removed. Cameras were not removed.

And many more of these rubbish.

Only one narrative have remained unchanged: the military came in around 7pm and started shooting pointblank. Many youths were killed, most of whom their dead bodies were taken away by the soldiers.

If you're a youth and for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER you still repeat the lie that people were not killed in Lekki, my prayer to you today is:

MAY LEKKI HAPPEN TO YOU.
