I did my biometrics today. It was IELTS that really caused the long wait. I did naric same time I did IELTS but they responded today that the processing is complete. I logged in but didn't see anything to download. Thank God I went for two options
Finally!cheesy That's great! Where did you say you logged in but couldn't download - IELTS, or NARIC website? And how long did the processing take?

IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training and IELTS Life Skills are accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) as proof of English proficiency for those wishing to live, work and study in the UK.

IELTS for UKVI Life Skills or IELTS for UKVI Academic. It has to be for UKVI.

I think it’s IELTS UKVI General training for work visas. That’s what I was told to do in my case.

It should be IELTS for UKVI General.

The life skills is for settlement not skilled worker route.

Good morning comrades. I mentioned some time ago that I'll post the process of getting registered in the UK as a nurse. Well, here it is. If you are/have a family member/friend etc that is a Registered Nurse, kindly share with them.

NOTE: The writeup is not mine and i do not claim ownership to it. This is what was used by someone else and she shared it for all.

Have a great day

Typically, before you can be issued a certificate of sponsorship (COS) by your potential employer. You must have been offered employment in the UK which meets the minimum pay for immigrants.

On accepting the offer, you go through some screening which varies amongst employers. Every employer/organization have specific onboarding activities which varies from background checks, filling of forms, signing some agreements etc.

You are expected to also have prove your knowledge of English language, TB test results (All this have been stated in the first post).

Once you submit all the necessary documents to your employer, they will start processing your COS. You don't have to do anything else but wait patiently till they send it to you. Once you receive the COS, you quote the COS ref number on your visa application.

Let me know if there is any other contribution you think might be helpful.

For care giver who already gotten COS

*Do they have to pay IHS
*Do they have to submit POF
*Do they have to certify their knowledge of English with any regulatory body?

1. No, you do not have to pay IHS as long as you're going through the Heath and Care Visa route. it is covered for you already
2. It is stated in your COS if your employer will provide maintenance for you for the first month or not. If they will, you don't need to proof funds. If they won't (as in my case), you will need to.
3. Knowledge of English is a non-tradeable 10 points in the points system. It is COMPULSORY.

1) Fund your domiciliary account.

2) Use "Barter by flutterwaves" app

3) Get someone outside 9ja to assist.

You need to be sure of the kind of jobs she can do in the UK. Do a Google search or better still, use the NHS jobs website. When you come up with a job that is well suited to her, then we can evaluate her chances.

To help you, ask her specific questions about her day-to-day activities and what her job entails.

How do I get a tuberculosis test done? I was asked to send an email for booking and when I went there yesterday, the crowd was no joke.

I am waiting for their booking response. @achmed1 and the good people
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by achmed1(m): 9:59pm On Nov 19, 2021
I learned you can book via email ..but not sure I it works. Your sure bet is to go there physically...and put your details down..they would then send you booking details.
