The Customary Court in Amurri, near Agbani, Enugu State, is unable to convene due to the default of rent payment.

TheNigeriaLawyer learnt that the Customary Court, presided by Egbo, Esq., in Amurri town, a little distance from Agbani town, which houses the Nigerian Law School, Agbani campus, has been closed up and the entry to the grounds barricaded.

The incident which occurred today prevented Judges from sitting and lawyers unable to have their cases attended to.

Upon inquiry from the Court officials, lawyers were told that the court has not paid its rent for the Courtrooms to the landlord.

The landlord should sue the court in their court too for defaulting on the payment agreement...

Just that, the lawyers and judges will have to convene outside the court building or go to another court for a hearing...It'll be fun if he can pull this off

One can't be a Judge in his own case.And this the landlord knows.Ifhe went to the police,the police would take him to the same court.
Resorted to self help as the only alternative.

The judge be like " Please bring the case here let me look into it."

Believe me the judge will award 10million compensation to the landlord. After all is not the judge that is owing. It's the useless government.
The same government will be owing the judge also.
