What To Do Now? by Loyalty8: 5:29pm On Nov 28, 2021
I'm quite confused about life right now and my issue is I know it's not too late but I have this constant feeling of regret that makes me feel like I have lost out in the race already.

I'm 23 years old just finished my first degree in the university of Lagos ( UNILAG) and I can tell anyone I had one hell of a ride. My first year in School I was already a first class student and I don't know how best to put this but I was really nonchalant about this and it came back to hunt me.

I got involved in drugs and all kinds of foolish schemes that pulled me from a first class student with a 4.6 CGPA to a final year student of 2.32 CGPA with 9carry-overs

Funny enough some circumstances caused me to re- evaluate my life and I got serious with my studies did those 9 carry overs and added 3 more electives and had 9 A's and 3 B's.

The issue now is I'm done and and my CGPA is about 2.9 to 3. Something although I'm still waiting to be sure but I just have this constant feeling of regret that makes me feel like I have failed already.

Please my fellow nairalanders i need help with your advise and mentorship. I really want to grow past this and achieve as much as I can

You think you've failed at 23 with a degree in view?
Lol..
So what do we say of a family man of 40+ with kids still living in a face me I face you doing menial jobs to sustain his family with no certificate to his name?

Have you been to town lately and see the true definition of failure?
Bro, you can still restart your life at 30 and you are just 23,it means you have a whole lot of productive time..
Even a man of 40 shouldn't consider himself a failure yet, the owner of KFC started life at 65

I'm 32 but still haven't achieved what i want in life. I hope you achieve what you want in life before 32 so that you don't create a scary threat. I've learnt to take life simple and one thing is sure,i go ditch my certificate enter street come next year.

The most important thing here is that you've realized your mistakes and you're making effort to correct them...

One of the most intelligent and humble professor that taught me during my Uni days actually graduated with a 3rd class in his BSc....

Though he didn't tell us the reason for this buh he told us that even if we graduate with a "certificate of attendance", as long as we still make effort and keep filorging ahead, we can excel to the Pinnacle of our field...

You sound like a really smart young man...
And I believe that as long as you keep pressing and pushing, you'll definitely get to the top...

Stay focused bro...
And keep pushing...
I'll see you at the top kiss...
