How Did You Achieve Financial Freedom This Year?? by Supreme145(m): 7:10pm On Dec 20, 2021
Earlier today I was with some of my compound guys and I observed that about 5 of them were glued to their phones clicking some links in a WhatsApp group. I inquisitively asked them what's up and one of them told me they are on a platform called minds in which dey like posts and stuffs like that and get crypto tokens in return. He went on to intimate me that he cashes out at least 85k from the platform every month. I believed everything he said because the transformation was evident, he looked way better and no longer invaded rooms looking for free meals. I intimated him to put me through but he said the platform wasn't verifying new accounts for now, if only I asked him earlier.

I've struggled financially for quite some time now, not for lack of trying but due to lack of opportunities. It pains me that I have a smart phone and a laptop yet I'm still wallowing in poverty which led me to open this thread. My introverted nature isn't helping me out because I don't relate much with people maybe by now I would have gotten a breakthrough. It is said that my people perish due to lack of knowledge.

It's embarrassing that I have a family like nairaland and I can't still break free from the shackles of brokenness and perpetual want despite the wealth of knowledge and information that is accessible on this great platform which leads to my question.

What financial action lead you to financial independence?? Was it business, a job or is there a platform like the one I mentioned above?? I've scouted the business section and gotten a lot of ideas but most of them still need minimal investment of some sorts of which I don't even have a dime. I know just one piece information can change my story for better.

I'm not asking for money, I just need a mentor that can point me in the right direction and save me from my misery. I'm a rookie web developer and have been sending out tons of applications for internship and entry level positions with limited success. We all know how hard it is to break into the freelance market as a beginner, upwork even bounced my application and I'm yet to get a client on fiverr.

I've watched series of YouTube videos on sites to make money online but most of them ended in futility, my geographic location isn't helping matters either. I've read tens of money making pdfs but it hasn't helped my situation in anyway. I hardly sleep at night, when I'm not coding I'm scavenging the internet for any information that I can leverage on. The accumulation of sleepless nights and over thinking has contributed in making me look 10 years older.

I'm drowning in a quagmire of debts and bills, rent is due and I would find myself cast out in the streets soon not to mention the severe starvation, my people has a saying that hunger that has hope does not kill but I can't even see any sign of illumination in this dark tunnel that I've found myself in. I've no one to run to except nairaland. Someone should help me out of this misery because my strength is failing me each day. I can dedicate even up to 20 hours daily to anything that can give me an income and put food on my table. I wouldn't want enter this new year in this condition.

Please my Nairaland family share your ideas or platforms that can help me out of my current predicament. I'm sure that others are stuck in this condition to and it would be of benefit to them. I'm tired of struggling on my own and I want to follow who know road now, maybe I can attain a little bit of the so far elusive financial independence.

Mods please that to front page for wider views and contributions.

I don't think so, I don't really know how the platform works but all I know is that they just click on links shared in a WhatsApp group and like pictures all day.

Well I am far from financial independence Sha but my life improved drastically when I got into tech. I can walk into any restaurant and order anything I want without blinking twice. I get my sneakers and shoes directly from the US. I couldn't even dream of wearing okrika sneakers a year ago sef. First time in years I actually was able to afford a very high end smartphone. The last one I had was in university and it was bought for me by my mom.

I know things are going to be much better in 2022 and beyond so long as I continue to develop myself in my craft.

Algoexpert but it's not free. Leetcode too but the value is in the premium one which is more expensive than algoexpert. I think the best free platform is hackkerank. Well with regards to Nigeria I don't know if there is anything aside coding one can do to make serious money. Theres a few lucky businessmen but it's not general o. The suffering in the shithole zoo Is legendary.

I think you have been taking the wrong steps. To achieve financial freedom, you have to let go of these so called WhatsApp investment platforms and the likes. Bitcoin is not a skill. You should consider learning a real skill or getting a job. That's how to make a sustainable earning. Trying to know how to make money via crypto without a real job or trade is like building on nothing. Forget your compound people and all they do with fast money (these funds are proceeds of ponzi and pyramid schemes).

I just need something to pay my bills in the short term while I further improve my programming skills along with job hunting. Normally I don't fancy those platforms, I don't even have a crypto wallet, just want to use it as a stopgap in the mean time.

Okay. I think I understand your needs. Just make sure you're vigilant online. You don't have to perfect your programming skills to make money from a skill. I've made money from simple skills like Excel and PowerPoint. These two aren't even part of my main sources of income but I've learned never to underestimate any skill/service. You can start by offering Excel services.

Advertise your service and don't underestimate Nairaland. On this same platform, I have gotten and delivered data entry services and transcription jobs not only to individuals but also companies. The last data entry job I did was for a top photography company in Lagos in 2017/2018, involving two large "Ghana-must-go" bags of client data. This kind of task will get you engaged 24/7 for 3 months (maybe 1 month if you have people you work with).

I've since stopped advertising those services now because of time and other freelance engagements. Consider looking at some simple or less saturated services online while you perfect your programming skills.

Liar. Post the betting code of your winning bet. It is people like you that gives some youth the illusion that betting can make them millionaires.

Liar? I hope everything is alright with you over there?

I did a rollover of 10k on 3 odds to a million and it materialised 2 nights ago. Or, is that alien to you again?

And yes, betting can either make you a millionaire if you follow a good strategy or send you back to your village when you get stupidly greedy and don't have a leash.

Ehn ehn grin.

You are always messing around so one can never be sure if you are joking or being serious.

But, I've seen you talk about cutting ticket and hoping your bets align, so I don't entirely doubt you, either.

I'm serious, baby girl. No jokes. wink

I hope you have a plan for that money? Don't go on a shopping spree or splurge anyhow.
