I had a turkey that hatches 9 out of 12. All 9 survives to maturity.

Pic 1: Day 1
Pic 2: 3 months 3 weeks
Pic 3: 8 months plus with their babies.

I kept three, 1 tom & two hens. Their chicks have all shades of colors, some like grandma from Pic 1.

You can try the foreign. They are fragile when young and eat more than chicken. But they have high sale value. Good luck in your hustle.

One of the challenges of rearing Turkey is the sales of the mature one is not easy to see buyers for them. The poult are easy to sell compare to the mature one.

He said there is demand and people would be rushing him, I wanted to know if we are in the same Lagos or it is in another state this is happening.

I also needed help in setting up my farm that's why I am asking that question

Young turkeys dont grow well if given non standard feed.

In attached photo the biggest turkey is 6 weeks old. Second biggest is 6 weeks 3 days old, the smaller ones are 5 weeks old.

The biggest is fed starter feed all through while the rest are free ranged - look at the size difference.

Let's hope for their fast pace growth on the feed you give the 3 weeks olds .

Thanks, I hope to have as many as possible. Adult turkeys are health wise usually strong, they're less susceptible to common poultry diseases.

You can raise day olds too if you have raised broilers before.

Week 8 update

At 2 months they consumed total of 12 mudus of starter feed.

They are so big now, mine are 4 weeks old yesterday

My good people, please what is the feed schedule for both local and foreign turkey.
I mean when you feed them starter, grower and finisher. Thanks as I await response

Help my Turkey are dying they are showing sign of weakness, my neighbors Turkey have been dying for days, on enquiry they said they usually die around January this period. What can I do please?

Week 12 update.

They got taller & bigger, more tail feathers and head turned red.

I plan to let them out in the morning today but the weather is too cold. They will free range henceforth.
