OP rush out now, go and buy bitter kola 4 pieces.

Throw them in the 4 corners of your room. The extreme edges.

Don't even bother to peel the back.

Whatever it is will run away on it's own.
Does this work for Lizards too? What can I use to chase lizards from sleeping around my window wall and net.

Bro it's a bigger rat. It's nothing spiritual. Av had same experience before. I was convinced when I saw the bigger rat carrying the smaller rat away with its mouth after it has killed it.

I know this isn't the right section. But I don't know the right one and so I opted to post here since it seems to have a lot of traffic.

Yesterday, I returned to my room to find a rat dead in the middle of it. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be bothered. But this rat has clearly been bitten (pictures will be displayed below). I called a neighbour and we examined it. We were arguing if a snake could have done it, and if yes, why it didn't swallow it. In any case, we decided to leave it where it was to see if whatever killed it would return for it. I went to sleep at a friend's.

We returned this morning to find the dead rat gone. So, I called others to join me and we ransacked every nook and cranny of the room. We couldn't find anything threatening. But we did find another rat killed in much the same manner as the first (second picture).

It irks that I can't find what did this. I can't sleep in the room as it is. So please, experts in the house, help me to identify what it could be and what can be done.

Mods please help move to front page.

We did have similar experience in our poultry years back ...some had their interior turned outside , it was very bizarre and weird ...till date we never knew what caused it

It's a mouse that killed the rat. I was recently disturbed by the smell of a dead rat when I search and found it, it was mutilated just like in the picture you posted above. Then, I saw a mouse running away from it. Fear not and go back to your room and sleep. U can keep rat poison for it to eat and die...

You need to strongly fumigate your apartment. Whatever it is that's ripping these rats apart might be hiding in your ceiling. Be very careful my friend

Could be that they were frightened away when you came in and later went back to finish their meal.

Sorry, but is this a room floor? Or a kitchen? Am just asking oh because one day you will return and find a dead half eaten anthelope in you room killed by a lion! Because a cat entered your room, and killed a rat, and came back again to collect his kill, and still you could not find spot the cat came in from, your room is more porious than the Nigeria border, I've never seen a rat in my entire house before, NIGERIANS ARE TOO QUICK TO ALWAYS SEE EVERYTHING AS SPIRITUAL ATTACK, na God go really help una

I wanted to write same but found out that you’ve said it all. When I was in Warri with my elder brother we had rats all over cos we dey face me I face u that time so rodents were in their large numbers and now we decided to finish them. The first gum trap we set caught a rat so I decided to leave it till morning.. before morning the rat was gone with blood and it’s furs on the trap. The next night I set another one by 2 am I went to check and it caught another rat again I decided to leave it till morning. My dear when I woke up in the mornin I found out that a shrew has been caught also by the trap but this time it has already eaten the trapped rat half way in the same trap. You’re very correct. It’s not witchcraft abeg.
yea shrews behave like wild lions only their screech will chase rat away from the house

I said he is not directly endangered not that he's not endangered. Let me explain further, if they were to be snakes, I would say he could be directly endangered since if it is shrew, then, he doesn't need to panic or start running Helter skelter. Most times shrews travel several kilometers just to feed and carry on. 'Directly' and 'indirectly'
and shrews are very poisonous as well one drop of their venom can off 50 mice or so they say am a nat geo wild freak though na there i the get all this info first hand

Your killer is in the ceiling of your room as insde the block holes. It is accessing your room through a broken ceiling or a gap between the ceiling and wall.

Alternatively, it could be gain entrance through underneath your doorUntil that killer is killed then even your neighbors are not save

Life is so precious and the only reason of making money is to be able to take care of our problems, go to the market and buy hidden camera since u are not sleeping there, mount it in a hidden place and go spend the night outside,am sure if u check it in the morning U'll find answers to your questions but if u don't, continue mounting

Probably it's the work of that smelly rat with a long mouth that feeds on other rats, be careful it's poisonous.

A cat wont do that. A cat will eat it and leave bits. The picture is not clear sef so you cant see the bite marks/ wound properly

The cats I once met in our compound cos they were many, they always chase lizard and rats and whenever they catch them..
They begin to play with them even giving them scratches and biting of some of there parts and I begin to wonder why those cats are like that...

It is cat, snakes strike strangle and swallow, they don’t leave open flesh wounds like that.

The cat might have been frightened hence they drop it and ran or they may think that is a safe place to leave their kills to which they will keep coming back to eat it.

Any open as little as will allow the small of a cat through will also allow their body through, even if the body is very huge, same with human beings….if your head can through any opening, with persistent and hard work, the rest of your body will slip through.

Re: Help! There's Something Strange In My Room by Tzar(m): 10:54pm On Jan 18, 2022
A predator that feeds on small animals is finding its way into your room. It is either a cat, shrew or a very big rat. You need to fumigate your house and environment regularly. If you get rid of the prey, the predator will naturally leave.
Snakes don’t chew on prey.
Look for & Block all possible hole in your house. If the predator can enter, a snake or scorpion can too.
