APGA Backs Soludo, Faults Party Members’ Exclusion Claim by ambu2: 4:50pm On Feb 15, 2022
The National Coordinator, Media Warriors Forum of All Progressives Grand Alliance, Evang. Chinedu Obigwe, has debunked the report that the incoming governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, was excluding members of the party from his government.

Obigwe stated this in Awka, on Tuesday, while addressing journalists, following a publication by one Eneh Victor Chigozie, that Soludo was gradually sidelining APGA members in the formation of his cabinet.

He described the report as a baseless insinuation coming from an armchair critic working for the opposition party to pull APGA down in the state.

He assured party faithful that Soludo would assemble the best crop of people that will do the work with genuine commitment in delivering the dividends of good governance to ndi Anambra.

Obigwe explained that only people of little faith were the ones losing hope in Soludo and were probably the ones who are behind the negative publication.

He said, “Soludo is a product of APGA and the last thing he will do is to abandon the party he used as a vehicle to actualise his governorship ambition.

“When he released the list of his transition committee members, people of little faith started saying this same cock and bull story and I debunked it immediately.

“He knows very well that the party he used as a vehicle to become governor needs servicing and he will definitely service that vehicle. The only thing is that a lot will change under Soludo’s watch.”

He advised Anambra people who reposed confidence in Soludo not to relent saying that the former CBN boss would live up to expectations by making the people proud.

He urged all genuine supporters of Soludo to embrace his radical change plan for the betterment of the state, adding that he wants to reduce the cost of governance for the benefit of the general public.

“It is not true that Soludo, the incoming governor is excluding APGA members from his yet-to-be constituted government. All genuine supporters of Soludo are confident that he will not disappoint the party members and they are also confident that he will not abandon them.

“Some armchair critics like Chigozie are being sponsored by the opposition parties to pull APGA down in Anambra by putting out baseless publications. A genuine supporter of APGA and Soludo will not associate him or herself with such lies.

“Soludo will assemble the best team and it will be made up of people that will do the work with genuine commitment. His mindset is that he wants a clean sweep of all legislative seats in Anambra State and he also wants APGA to make inroads into other states in the South-East and Nigeria at large.

“My stand is that all genuine supporters of Soludo should embrace his radical change plan for the betterment of our beloved State. I am confident that he will not abandon his supporters because already plans are in top gear on how to empower some of them that will not be appointees in his government,” he added.

Soludo has made available a Talent Bank to capture data of anyone that interested in developing the state.

What stops the party members to key in thier data.

So they want "special treatment"?

The Electorates that voted Soludo are more than the primary members combined.

These so-called Career politicians are the problem of this country

The best people should be employed not the best party members.

Soludo is working in the best interest of Anambra people.

It is a 2-way thing: On one hand, APGA needs a performer and reformer to maintain it's grip on Anambra State. It's popularity is, no doubt, dwindling. So radical changes in governance are needed urgently. On the other hand, Prof. Charles Soludo needs key APGA members' support for peaceful governance and consolidation of his political structure, to get key ideas and reforms approved by State House of Assembly and of course to get 2nd term mandate.

Look, APGA is not a party of dunces. The party has qualified intending, new and old members in abundance to occupy vital positions and implement Soludo's VISION for the State. And Prof. Charles Soludo is not that naive politically to burn bridges at this critical time. I am confident that Soludo has already penned down names of professionals within and outside APGA he knows and can personally trust for vital appointments. You can't just entrust key assignments to random applicants.

This hype about Talent DataBank is merely to pander to Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and her transition committee. Only a few appointments will be made from the Talent DataBank for PR purpose.

It is stupid to get power to make changes through politics and lose it by unnecessary technocratic stance.

Can you read and comprehend? Read what I wrote again.
If people assist you to win an election, then they are expecting something in return, not just in Nigeria but anywhere in the world.
He should find some capable smart ones among the party member and employ them. Mix it up with others that are not politically motivated.
Even Trump and Biden gives out a lot of positions such as cabinet and diplomatic positions to political donors and supporters.
Don't believe that trash that it only happens in Nigeria. It's the norm even in the USA.

You hit the nail on the head, gbam.

Until we have the best professionals with integrity in the right places, professional politicians will keep abusing the system and making life harder for all, including themselves.

We believe that Soludo can make Anambra better for all.

It is naive to think you can ignore politicians and the party members that struggled to bring you to power, na only am do the work, na only am campaign? This is why I keep warning people who shout osinbajo, Soludo, Moghalu, Adesina etc etc. If you put a technocrat in office that has no political base, they way he will dissapoint will shock you. Thats why they all enter govt and fail once the realities of governing without political savvy hit them. They might even impeach him before he gets to half term if he is not careful.

You will just enter office and ignore the party members that brought you into power? Go and ask Ambode what happenned to him!!! APGA that only have 1 state, the only state where the party members can chop, you want to remove their food?

The only way a technocrat works is if he himself is a gangster and has a political structure/base or has a political Godfather...that unfortunately is the reality of Nigeria!!! What Soludo is trying to do is theory, it doesnt work like that in Nigeria. Is he the one who funded his campaign, is he the one who owns the party structure on which he came to office, you will ignore party members and expect to have peace....in Nigeria? Like I said they should go and ask Ambode!!! Tinubu did not remove Ambode, Ambode was removed by the party for exactly what Soludo wants to try. I hope he succeeds but somehow i think he will learn.
