Na the ojoro balon D'or they give am for 2018 dey deceive people. Modric is class no doubt but guys like Zidane, Ronaldihno, Xavi and Lampard were on another planet.

It’s not deceiving anyone ,even Madrid Spanish fans knows the truth ,but it’s the Nairaland ones that keeps deceiving themselves grin

Ighalo played in Serie A at roughly Osimhen's age only scored 1 goal, also played in Segunda for Granada and was never the divisions top scorer abeg talk another thing
komekn:

If you are good enough then age should not be a factor.

If you put Ighalo in the Segunda, Eredivisie, , Belgium league he would be a top scorer.

If you put him in Seria A he would have scored at least 10 goals by now.

I disagree with you not on sentiment but objectivity.

There is this Super Eagles winger notable for dragging players out of position with trickery.
He sat mostly on the bench alongside Iwobl during the last AFCON tournament.

God help our football,

I think if we analyze a manager from just one lens, the lens of adjusting tactics in minutes while play is ongoing, then our last 3 managers are wack.

Klopp
Pep
Conte

Klopp taught arteta this in their last meet. He tweaked his tactic by half time and arteta stubbornly remained resolute. It was obvious for all to see.

The game has changed. Pre 2000s managers stuck to their tactic. Nowadays, managers are very cunny that a tactic/formation can last only 8mins in a game, with as much as 5-7 tweaks in 90mins, even without subs plus the ghostmoding and waiting for a weakness at the same time like Emery vs Bayern.

Im afraid Pes doesn't fit such a manager. I don't even want to wait for time to tell. We don't have such time.

Pass that Rosicky used to execute with his eyes closed

People really compared Modric to Xavi and Iniesta because of one pass...

Anybody believing in the SE under a coach like Peseiro never learn anything.

with people defending and comparing on here right now, I'm afraid we never want to learn from this useless cycle of mediocrity. We can't be dependent on luck in 2022 going forward. We depend on it tooo much.

Who are the players ahead of him and you used a plural term.

Nwakali, Etebo, Onyeka, have all done better than Aribo in central midfield.

This is very clear for the eye that is honest.

Lol. I'm trying to remember the Super Eagles Footballer that has held such sway on people on here like nwakali and I'm yet to get one. Not even Sunday Mba, not even a member of dream team under siasia. Just nwakali. grin

He should get a club first. Can't wait for this clash with Huesca to end.

And they will come here and tell you Aribo is hyped ,I doubt they even know what it means to hype someone

Someone is doing well for his club rangers and they want us to keep quiet grin

He should at least equal his performance before we accept the hype. That's just logical. Maduka that most don't like is even performing at club and no one can say he isn't.

Aribo is tactically poor for a central midfield role. This is not difficult to see. Our coaches made him look even worse. Watch him struggle in games where the opponent has the tactical advantage, notice players like Ndidi, Awaziem in this same game and you can tell the difference.

My submissions are for the honest eye.
I never wanted to reply you nor Komekn, because it is fruitless.
Between Nwakali and Aribo who was better at the CM role in the just concluded AFCON tourney.

Why are people like this?

Most likely. It is him.

He has lived in England or so. Also his Youtube channel might have caught the attention of some NFF guys who see his passion for Nigerian players. His voice makes him sound like an experienced analyst (no pun intended). Lastly his support of Akwa United shows that he is from that part of Nigeria that bears the name that guy has. The coaching license part, I don't know.

Congrats to him unless he debunks this. If I had opened a sports TV channel for Nigerian soccer (I really wish to) I would have asked for his services too.

The goodjoe talks like that watched France 98 as someone with a basic knowledge of football. This analyst was probably within 2 to 3 years of age during that time. And the nerd almost fits the picture but it seems he is almost or already a doctor.
BascoVanVeli should be able to know the young man cos the guy coach NILAYO fc in Nigeria league as far back as 2018 after handled Nottingham academy in UK.

Then that's up to the coach that doesn't know where best to utilize him as at his club.

The guy is well known in Nigeria football circle despite his young age.He hold the record as the youngest Nigeria coach at 22 years with NILAYO FC in Nigeria lower league,so not a new guy to Amaju led NFF.
