There's much difference from that era to this era.... Back then, lots of southern Nigerians took part and were very effective... The army produced many southern Nigerians.....

But in today's army, the North have occupied and taken the army as their birthright.... You barely have southerners in the military doing great.. You get to a certain level, you get kicked out or sent on a compulsory retirement, while their sons gets to be generals and army chiefs.....
