It seems only Deborah has been killed unjustly in Nigeria or is it just because the case happened under a religious setting hence people need to keep calling a dog a bad name to hang it?

Deborah is dead! The Culprits are being detained! So why the noise?

The South Eastern Gunmen who killed a Northern woman and her kids won't get media attention like Deborah!

That's why nothing get's done in Nigeria a place where people protest on injustice selectively and discriminatingly.

We just shout and shout and later keep quiet after a while we return to status quo.

Say no to Jungle justice!
But keep your mouth shut where and when necessary!
Exactly, bro. I am sick and tired of Nigerians. Debora's case was not unique. More deadliest cases have happened and heaven didn't fall. I hate this selective sympathy. Hypocrisy will not allow Nigeria to move forward. Look at Habeeb Idris's case before Debora, no media attention. He too was killed like chicken as if he was less than human.

All those people being murdered in the name of theft aren't different from Debora. If Nigerians see a Muslim being lynched it is pretty much okay by them because it doesn't fit their narrative. God is just and loves justice.

What's all this bullshit about section this and section that. Is insulting the prophet of any religion a crime against the federal republic of Nigeria?

I wonder why people are always using Sharia as basis for their argument. Like how can Sharia be applicable to non Muslims. Na was oh.
Go and insult the prophet and you will know the law exist.

I even read the constitution yesterday that hate speech attracts death penalty.

Oh just stop the whole secular constitutional pretense and start issuing Fatwas from Aso Rock already!

Well. What do we have here? I get to preach to Muslims whenever I can and I always make sure to emphasize that Eternal Life can only be found through Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God for what He did on the Cross for the whole of mankind...by dying and shedding His PURE blood for all our sins.

And when the Muslims try to contradict that PURE Gospel message with the dilutions from their book by saying "No....Jesus never really died.! or "No...Jesus is not the Son of God!"

Then I boldly tell them....Mohammed and whatever book he gave them has LIED TO THEM! This qualifies him as a FALSE PROPHET. And that is only using the firm yardstick of what the Truth from the Bible had established hundreds of years before Mohammed's sperm ever started swimming to fertilize an egg.

What did I just say? The Gospel of Christ ..which seems to be blasphemy to those who are offended by the Truth. I have also said it to a lot of angry Muslims. who would love to tear me to pieces too. And this was what Deborah Samuel brutally murdered by Muslims stood for.

1st you are wrong. There is no where in the 1999 Constitution as amended that "hate speech" as you choose to call it is penalized. Rather there is a freedom of speech and it is on that premise gagging of the media in the name of "hate speech" has been frowned at.

That said, the prophet is so much rever is unfortunately down South not given that recognition and so may be insulted with no consequence down here. It is in furtherance of this narrative many have called for dismemberment of the country since we are very different people. You honor Mohammed you don't. We believe Christ is God's son, you don't.

Nice report... Deborah shouldn't have insulted our Prophet SAW..She can do that in the South but not here.

On the other hand the people that killed her shouldn't have done it.. Because their is no where in Islam that stated that a Kafir should be killed for insulting the Prophet...

How many times was he insulted in Mecca before migrating to Medina...Did he order for their head?!!!

Dear I never voted this government at any level at any election year
And yes I've a PVC and I use it even to LGA elections and councillors sef.
For those of us who are witnessing Buhari for the second time as president, no manner of sedative, cajoling or packaging would have ever moved us to vote him in 2015 and 2019.
I was truly ashamed, surprised, disappointed and sad (with all due respect) with those born 1980 upwards to 1939 who voted for them in 2015 and 2019.

That said.

Muslims are not to be appeased, they are humans like you and I, not enemies or evil spirit.
Love is what Jesus told us is the new commandment.
If an eye for an eye, the village would be a village of the blind.
Two wrongs don't make it right.
If those who refer to themselves as Muslims who perpetuate evil, which other Muslims reject as unIslamic who are you and I who are not Muslims to tag them enemies?
Mind you these so called Muslims hate Muslims who extend love and care and protection to people of other faiths.
They also kill Muslims who go about minding their businesses and don't join them in their evils.
Many Muslims are victims, but who speaks for them when a lot of people tag them all together which is wrong.
If you ever read about Paul/Saul you'd know never to judge or condemn anyone Jesus shed His blood for.
God will and shall use anyone He wishes to.

Truly like Deborah like Stephen like the numerous martyrs over the years, we should speak for the truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ and NOT hate, vengeance, annihilation, do me I do you, bigotry, tribalism and violence.
Did Stephen, the first recorded martyr, ever ask that those people be struck dead? Even Jesus on the cross said they don't know what they do.

If you were not a Christian you might even have been passive or indifferent as e no concern you or your people.

Even the Magistrate Court being a court of summary trial will still not conclude a matter within 6months like that save in rare cases where the accused pleads guilty.

Thanks for your thought-out response. My sincere apologies for using the word "naive" to summarily describe the message you were trying to convey....

I don't know which part of Nigeria you are from but since you mentioned Osun using your example...then I would infer you might likely be Yoruba--where there is a higher congruence between different elements and faiths based on an overarching ethnic affinity. So in the end, you might likely be pre-disposed to be naturally conciliatory.

This is NOT so where I am from in the Middle Belt--where the Christians have been so far deeply affected by the recurring pogroms. We have a saying here: "If you give the Hausa-Fulani Muslim a little inch...he will gladly take a mile and try to block you from it!" This is evident by how much violence and persistent attacks have been encouraged by the current Government to displace people and expand an Islamic Territory for whatever agenda they might have. Christian minorities have resisted strongly and have sought to fight for the little they have.

I agree, that we all tend to have different "blind-spots" when people from our "Faith" or ethnicity are either winning a war....or being negatively affected by one. But I have been asking God to help me understand where my blind spots are to help me open up to Him to help me be a bit more softer with compassion as the need requires.

But this does not mean being complacent. You know the Scripture: "Wherever the Lord is there is LIBERTY!" And you will notice that wherever there is a Christian cluster who enjoy that liberty--some conniving and stupidly ambitious "Muslim" will always want to plan to penetrate to start upturning the fundamentals that have ensured why that freedom existed in the first place. What happened when the Missionary Schools were seized by various Muslim-led Governments? Even within the Federal Government College I attended so many many years ago---a Muslim principal had to ban and constrict Christian fellowships in the dorms when a Christian fellow led a Muslim lady to faith in Jesus Christ.

Wherever you go: schools, markets, government, highways, trains, even farms....Muslim penetration have sought to always destroy the peace Christians are enjoying for some very evil and nefarious reasons. I think my greater point is....you might wake up one day and realize that you are already in an ISLAMIC COUNTRY where even mentioning the name of "Jesus Christ" is forbidden . Essentially, it means that if you simply fold your hands and look away or seem to go out of your way to be too accommodating to people who do not want to see you enjoy the Liberty you have in Christ....they will make sure to exploit that loophole to the max...just like they are doing now with all these Terrorist attacks on the farms, highways and bushes.

There is something like casting pearls to swine--which Jesus warned of. Then there is something like seeing a ravenous wolf track you to destroy every single pearl meant to be a blessing to those who are deserving. Living in some locations in Nigeria means you cannot just be too loose...or less critical of the crafty negative policies and structures designed to mute, be a burden and eliminate the lives of people--especially Christians.

well, maybe your brain does have comprehension issues. Jail in this context is when police arrest you before going to court, you get locked up first for some time pending court appearance. It is as well called detention if you like.

Jesus did what?. Be like say you dey read Bible backward or you are reading different Bible.

This is what your Bible says

Galatians 6:5

"For every man shall abear his own burden"

Ezekiel 18:20

"The soul that sin, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

Deuteronomy 24:16

"The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his down sin."

Quran 35:18

"No one can bear another's burden."

So tell me, don't you think you are being unjust by having a man to die for you for sin he didn't commit?. That's injustice.

So tell me, don't you think you are being unjust by having a man to die for you for sin he didn't commit?. That's injustice.

But you forgot to quote the full context of the same verse. You are cleverly trying to twist the message here. Here is the full context of Galatians 6:5 below:

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

We are told to "bear one another's burdens to be able to fulfill the LAW OF CHRIST which we regard as SUPERIOR to the Old Testament Law. After we have HELPED ANOTHER person we are encouraged to rejoice in that effort in being able to be a blessing to others. This was why he said to REJOICE in our own work (of helping other Christians) and not in another person's work (we do not get credit for another person's effort to bless and help others). It is in this context Paul wrote "For every man shall bear his own burden." Do you understand it now? If I am able to give the homeless man food to eat and a place to sleep and I REJOICE in being able to do so....nobody else can fully share in the happiness for that privilege of helping another human being. I am not helping to be able to earn my salvation with God....(that is IMPOSSIBLE), My Good Works can NEVER buy me an entrance into heaven...only the Perfect Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross can. But I am still dong good works by helping others and being a blessing to them as a way to say "thank you" back to Christ for that privilege.

You should be decent enough to know this is a public forum where courtesy demand you exhibit decorum in passing your message. I quoted you without resorting to insult, that is the least I had expected from you. You were wrong and instead of admitting it, you still pride yourself in ignorance. I took your words literally, you used the word "jail" not "detention." For your information, they do not mean the same thing and you are speaking to a lawyer.

That said you are still wrong because the police cannot keep a person in detention for more than 48 hours without charging the person to court. So he cannot just be cooling off in jail detention. Quote me when you have confirmed this position with a lawyer.

grin grin grin
I sorry for you, truly

Pity
Compassion
Love

Not only confidence but nonsense

E pain you?

Bravo, do and say to others what you want for yourself, abi what you write in defence of your faith don't you want others of other faiths to do likewise?

Take the lead, make we match you word for word, action for action.
PS: I have shame, and right now I'm exercising it on your behalf and for your behalf.

Answer my question with confidence and honesty, make the devil be ashamed... cheesy
"Have you ever blasphemed your faith, that of Christians or traditionalists?"
If you are not answering this question don't bother mentioning me I no go follow you drag for faceless forum. undecided

Kai see as you just misquote Bible... would you let a Christian misquote your Quran like this?
Don't be a hypocrite.

Write and stick it on your wall -

"Do, think and say unto others just what you would want for yourself"

I've a copy of the Quran in English but why will I be quoting it? I can only read it. I'm not trained in Islam to fully understand the verses. Even if you were once a Christian or you did CRK, don't misquote the Bible YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN!
I can't even quote the Bible without the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Do you know that you can only get understanding and true interpretation of the Bible by the Holy Spirit?
If not you'd read it like fiction or motivational book.

When we did Literature in secondary school, we were made to analyse poems and assume what the poet meant and what he meant to portray. But imagine if that poet where to come to our class back then himself and tell us? Would it be the same?

Brother, do not misquote the Bible.

Jesus died for you and I and all humanity even while we were in sin.
His death and resurrection has brought salvation.
Now you decide if you pick up this ticket to renewed relationship and reconciliation with God our Creator, which was lost in the garden of Eden,
Or you decide not to pick the freeeeee ticket Jesus is given to eternal life and you choose the broad way that leads to eternal damnation.

No one can come to the Father except through Me (Jesus Christ).

I believe this and I've accepted this message and urge you and others who have not, to accept this simple but powerful message and invitation to eternal life
