Not been excellent as a seating governor does not affect or directly influence the choice of a vice-president. What were Goodluck Jonathan's antecedents before being picked as Yar'adua's running mate or the almost forgotten VP(Namadi Sambo) before he was picked as Jonathan's running mate? At the time they were not the best from their regions. Rather,the interest being served by their selection was more significant.
