Ownership of the child is not of any of the parties mentioned, remember before God said "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth" {Gene 1:28} the Bible made us to understand that He (God) blessed both Adam and Eve which means none between the two has the right to claim the child but both should be responsible for the child's upbringing.

The truth of the matter is that God is the sole owner of each child {Psalms 127:3} that's why He gave specific orders on how to dedicate the child to Him after both parties have succeeded in producing a child due to His blessings! Deut 6:4-7

Of course the man is the head of the family {1Corin 11:3} so God placed all members under his control but then each life belongs to the maker! Matthew 10:30

According to my tradition, the ownership of a child belongs to the man who has fully paid the wife's bride price and fulfilled all the customary demands. Even if she remarries after divorce, the child born for the previous man still belongs to the previous man until the bride price is returned.
