I've been checking front page since yester night to see any post related to Messi, sadly none of his posts has been moved to FP.
If it was Ronaldo now, not only would the post grace fp, it would infact be accompanied by other irrelevant posts like Ronaldo wins man of the match, Ronaldo now has the highest appearances bla blabla..
It's not fair honestly.

Anybody that says this is not a trophy is not alright...This is Champion of Europe vs Champion of South America....Its just like saying European Super cup is not a trophy which equivalent to champion of Ucl and Europa

It is even a more valuable trophy than European super cup which is a match up between a superior side (UCL winner) and a winner of an inferior tournament (Europa). The Finalissima, like the confederations cup it replaced, is a match of equals. The equivalent on the club side is almost the club world cup but that one is even inferior because only European clubs presents first-class quality on the club front unlike on the international scene where both Europe and S.America are comparable heavyweights.

Nairaland has lost it for displaying such pettiness because of hatred of a player.

Has this ever been played b4... confederations cup has always had winners of all continental tournaments, thats commobol, concacaf , ASN , AFCON , Europe , Australia , World cup champion and host ... but Fifa just stopped it and then commobol and Europe decided to play a friendly match to show ties between 2 tournaments and u call it confederations cup replacement so that u can feel good that Messi won a cup grin

Bros, you are funny o. Nations league that De Bruyne just called glorified friendlies earlier this week or is it the fact that it is played every year just like friendlies. Bros, you dey grasp at straws as your argument no dey coordinated at all. Actually, I completely agree with Neymar that the Finalissima is not in any way as valuable as the World Cup. Everyone knows that, and Neymar was just replying as a light-hearted banter to Argentina's dressing room's taunts at Brazil.

But surely you should understand that a "World cup is greater than finalissima" statement does not mean the Finalissima is a nonsense trophy. Heck, World cup is greater than all other cups unlike where an actually frustrated player declares "Nations League is a glorified friendly". That is a way more significant downgrade of the UNL tournament by a player who was not joking at all.

I present to you Messi's second senior major trophy for Argentina for your enjoyment. It's a great cure for chronic bitterness grin
