In Umahi's case, he ensured his brother won and hence he stepped down for him. Tambuwal also allowed his man to be sole candidate and he went there to pick up the Senatorial.

Bala Mohammed gave his SSG, Kassim who also stepped down. Now Ekpoudom refused to step down ,so APC cancelled the initial primaries and INEC wasn't even put on notice. So, it's different.
